Abstract

Mikrohidro adalah pembangkit listrik tenaga air skala kecil dengan batasan kapasitas sampai dengan 200 kW. Didalam suatu pembangkit listrik tanaga mikrohidro terdapat pengontrolan beban, salah satunya adalah electronic load controller (ELC), yang berfungsi sebagai pengendali beban yang masuk kedalam beban konsumen (beban utama) dan beban komplement dimana dalam beban electronic load controller (ELC) dapat mempertahankan nilai dari putaran, frekuensi, dan tegangan pada generator sinkron. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perancangan sistem electronic load controller menggunakan software Simulink, dengan spesifikasi generator sinkron dengan tegangan 230/400V, frekuensi 50 Hz, serta putaran 1500 rpm dan mengetahui performansi atau unjuk kerja dari sisten ELC. Paramater yang diamati dalam penelitian ini berupa keluaran dari nilai putaran, frekuensi, tegangan, arus, serta beban baik beban konsumen ataupun beban komplemen pada sistem ELC . Hasil pengujian electronic load controller (ELC) mampu menjaga daya beban rata-rata sebesar -25,28% dengan fluktuasi putaran rata-rata sebesar 0.84% atau 1512,54 rpm, frekuensi rata-rata sebesar 0.56% atau 50,28 Hz, tegangan antar fasa rata-rata sebesar -0.35% atau 398,35V, dan tegangan fasa netral rata-rata sebesar 0.99% atau 232,27V dari nilai nominalnya.

English Abstract

Microhydro is a small scale hydroelectric power plant with a capacity limit of up to 200 kW. In a micro-hydro power plant there are some load controls, one of them is an electronic load controller (ELC), which function is as a load controller that enters the consumer load (main load) and complementary load where in the load the electronic load controller (ELC) can maintain the value of rotation, frequency, and voltage at synchronous generators. This study aims to determine the electronic load controller system design using Simulink software, with the following specification of synchronous generator: voltage of 230 / 400V, frequency of 50 Hz, and 1500 rpm rotation and also to know the performance of the ELC system. The parameters observed in this study are outputs from the value of rotation, frequency, voltage, current, as well as the burden of either the consumer load or the complement load on the ELC system. The electronic load controller (ELC) test results are able to maintain an average load power of -25.28% with average rotation fluctuations of 0.84% or 1512.54 rpm, the average frequency of 0.56% or 50.28 Hz, voltage between phases averaged -0.35% or 398.35V, and neutral phase voltages averaged 0.99% or 232.27V from their nominal values.
