Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan persepsi diri atas penerimaan sosial dan kecenderungan adiksi media sosial pada remaja. Subjek merupakan remaja berusia 13-18 tahun di Indonesia sebanyak 155 partisipan dengan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan subskala social competence dari SPPA (Self-Perception Profile for Adolescents) dan skala adiksi media sosial yang disusun berdasarkan SMAS-SF (Social Media Addiction Scale- Student Form). Analisis data menggunakan Pearson product-moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif antara persepsi diri atas penerimaan sosial dan kecenderungan adiksi media sosial pada remaja. (r= -0.184, p< 0.05)
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between the self-perception of social acceptance and tendency of social media addiction in adolescents. Subjects were teenagers aged 13-18 years old in Indonesia as many as 155 participants with accidental sampling technique. The instruments in this study used the social competence subscale of the SPPA (Self-Perception Profile for Adolescents) and the scale of social media addiction compiled based on the SMAS-SF (Social Media Addiction Scale-Student Form).Data analysis using Pearson productmoment. The results showed that there was a negative relationship between the tendency of social media addiction and self-perception of social acceptance in adolescents.(r= -0.184, p< 0.05)
