Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak-nya perbedaan Psychological Well-Being pada mahasiswa yang ditinjau dari etnis Jawa dan etnis Batak. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif, dengan partisipan sejumlah 251 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Ryff’s Scales of Psychological Well-Being. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil dari uji hipotesis didapatkan bahwa nilai signifikansi T-Test dari kelompok mahasiswa etnis Jawa dan etnis Batak adalah 0,034 (p<0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa etnis Jawa yang kategorisasinya lebih rendah dibanding dengan kategorisasi tingkat psychological well-being etnis Batak.

English Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there are differences in Psychological Well-Being among students viewed from Javanese and Batak ethnic groups. The method used is a quantitative method, with 251 participants participating. The measuring instrument used is Ryff's Scales of Psychological Well-Being. The analysis technique used is the Independent Sample T-Test. The results of the hypothesis test found that the significance value of the T-Test from the Javanese ethnic group and the Batak ethnic group was 0.034 (p <0.05), so it can be concluded that there are differences in psychological well-being in Javanese ethnic students whose categorization is lower than categorization the level of psychological well-being of the Batak ethnic group.
