Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara tipe kepribadian extraversion dan neuroticism dengan nomophobia pada remaja. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 150 remaja dan dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Skala yang digunakan yaitu skala nomophobia yang disusun berdasarkan teori dari Yildirim (2014) dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0.908 serta skala the big five personality yang telah diadaptasi oleh Ramdhani (2012). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi product moment pearson, korelasi spearman dan korelasi berganda. Hasil analisis variabel extraversion dengan nomophobia menghasilkan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0.052 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0.529 yang artinya tidak terdapat hubungan antara extraversion dengan nomophobia pada remaja. Selain itu, hasil analisis variabel neuroticism dengan nomophobia menghasilkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.253 dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0.002 yang artinya terdapat hubungan antara neuroticism dengan nomophobia pada remaja dan juga telah didapatkan hasil korelasi berganda antara kedua tipe kepribadian tersebut dengan nomophobia yaitu menunjukkan angka sebesar 0.279 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0.003 yang artinya terdapat hubungan antara kedua tipe kepribadian dengan nomophobia pada remaja.

English Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine relationship between extraversion and neuroticism personality with nomophobia in adolescents. This research using quantitative correlation method. There were 150 adolescents as subjects and selected by using purposive sampling technique. The scales that used are nomophobia scale which compiled based on Yildirim’s theory (2014) with a reliability of 0.908 and the big five personality scale that has been adapted by Ramdhani (2012). This research using product moment Pearson correlation analysis technique, Spearman correlation and multiple correlation. The results of extraversion variable analysis with nomophobia produce a correlation coefficient of -0.052 with a significance level of 0.529 which means that there is no relationship between extraversion personality and nomophobia in adolescents. In addition, the results of neuroticism analysis with nomophobia resulted correlation coefficient of 0.253 with a significance level of 0.002 which means that there is a relationship between neuroticism and nomophobia in adolescents. Furthermore, the results from multiple correlations between two types of personality, extraversion and neuroticism, with nomophobia are 0.279 with significance amounting to 0.003 which means there is a relationship between two types of personality with nomophobia in adolescents.
