Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh klasifikasi Indeks Desa Membangun Provinsi Jawa Timur tahun 2016, dimana Desa Bendosari termasuk dalam salah satu desa diantara dua desa yang ada di Kecamatan Pujon Kabupaten Malang yang termasuk kategori desa tertinggal. Pada penelitian ini peneliti ingin mengetahui bagaimana gambaran potensi Desa Bendosari dengan menggunakan Analisis Faktor Eksploratori (AFE) yang dikombinasikan dengan analisis Biplot. Selain itu peneliti juga ingin mengetahui perbandingan hasil dari penggunaan metode rotasi Varimax dan Quartimax yang digunakan dalam AFE dan dikombinasikan dengan analisis biplot. Dilakukan rotasi dalam AFE karena metode ektraksi faktor seringkali belum menghasilkan komponen faktor utama yang jelas. Informasi yang didapat dari output AFE masih belum bisa memberikan gambaran yang jelas tentang sebaran data, oleh karena itu dilakukan analisis Biplot. Kriteria pemilihan metode rotasi terbaik dilihat dari korelasi antar variabel. Hasil yang didapatkan dari analisis yaitu pada korelasi antar variabel yang dilihat dari nilai Bartlett Test of Sphericity, rotasi Varimax memiliki korelasi tertinggi yaitu sebesar 11,35634 menggambarkan bahwa keeratan hubungan antar variabel dengan menggunakan rotasi Varimax paling tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode rotasi varimax adalah metode rotasi terbaik.
English Abstract
This research is motivated by the classification of Village Development Index of East Java Province in 2016, where Bendosari Village is included in one between two villages in Pujon Sub-district, Malang Regency which is categorized as underdeveloped village. In this research, the researcher wanted to know how to describe the potential of Bendosari Village by using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) combined with Biplot analysis. In addition the researchers also wanted to know the comparison of results from utilizing of Varimax and Quartimax rotation methods in EFA combined with biplot analysis. A rotation is performed in EFA because factor extracting methods often have not produced a clear main factor component. Information obtained from the EFA output still can not provide a clear result of data distribution, therefore biplot analysis is used for further analysis. The selection criteria of the best rotation method is seen from the correlation between variables. The results obtained from the analysis can be seen from the correlation between variables that is from the value of Bartlett Test of Sphericity, Varimax rotation has the highest correlation of 11.35634 illustrates that the closeness of the relationship between variables by using the highest Varimax rotation. So it can be concluded that varimax rotation method is the best rotation method.
