Abstract

Diazinon merupakan salah satu kelompok insektisida dari golongan organofosfat yang digunakan untuk membasmi berbagai hama. Diazinon dapat menyebabkan dampak negatif dari tubuh dan lingkungan. Peggunaan pestisida yang sering digunakan dapat meninggalkan residu pestisida yang dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan sel pada organ hati. Kerusakan sel hati dapat mempengaruhi fungsi kerja pada organ hati yang dapat menetralkan racun (detoksifikasi). Senyawa yang dapat menghambat kerusakan sel yaitu antioksidan. Antioksidan yang terkandung dalam teripang yakni saponin triterpenoid yang diyakini dapat menghambat radikal bebas. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganilis pengaruh pemberian antioksidan ekstrak teripang terhadap kerusakan organ hati dari mencit yang terkontaminasi pestisida diazinon. Pertama, mencit diberikan diazinon secara oral selama 2 minggu dengan 5 variasi dosis yaitu 50 mg/L aquades hingga 150 mg/L aquades. Mencit diberikan pestisida diazinon dengan dosis efektif 125 mg/L aquades. Setelah diketahui dosis efektif yang dapat merusak organ hati, lalu dilakukan pemberian antioksidan ekstrak teripang dengan 5 varian dosis yaitu 0,02 ml/kg BB sampai 0,09 ml/kg BB. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukka pestisida diazinon dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada organ hati serta antioksidan ekstrak teripang dapat menurunkan kerusakan organ hati sebesar 35,05%.

English Abstract

Diazinon pesticide belongs to the group of insecticides from organophosphates group, which is used for the eradication of various pests. Diazinon can have negative effects on the body and the environment. Frequent use of pesticides can leave pesticide residues that can cause cellular damage to the liver. Damage to liver cells can impair the liver's work function, which can neutralize toxins (detoxification). Compounds that can inhibit cell damage are antioxidants. Antioxidants contained in the sea cucumber saponin triterpenoid are believed to be inhibit free radicals. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of sea cucumber antioxidant extract on the damage to liver organs of mice contaminated with diazinon pesticides. First, the mice were given diazinone with 5 dose variations for 2 weeks, ie 50 mg / L aquedest up to 150 mg / L aquedest. The mice received diazinon pesticides at an effective dose of 125 mg / L aquadest. After it is known the effective dose that can damage the liver, then give antioxidant sea cucumber with 5 variant dose, which is 0.02 ml / kg BB up to 0.09 ml / kg body weight. The results of this study show that diazinon pesticides can cause damage to the liver and antioxidant-extract sea cucumbers can reduce the organ damage of the liver by 35.05%.
