Abstract
Ulser merupakan kondisi hilangnya jaringan epitel oleh karena berbagai macam sebab. Pengobatan dengan pemberian kortikosteroid memiliki risiko efek samping berupa candidiasis. Gel getah nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) sebagai alternatif pengobatan ulser mengandung senyawa aktif flavonoid yang mampu mempercepat proses penyembuhan dengan menghambat jalur enzim siklooksigenase (COX) sehingga menurunkan jumlah limfosit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian gel getah buah nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) dalam menurunkan jumlah limfosit pada proses penyembuhan ulser traumatik mukosa labial tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) pada hari ke-3 dan ke-7. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan desain penelitian Randomized Post Test Only Control Group Design. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol, dosis 0,5%, dosis 1%, dan dosis 2% dengan time series (hari ke-3 dan ke-7). Hasil rerata jumlah limfosit mengalami penurunan tetapi tidak signifikan pada hari ke-3 dan ke-7 (uji one way ANOVA, p>0,05). Jumlah limfosit pada kelompok kontrol paling banyak pada hari ke-3 dan paling sedikit pada dosis 2% hari ke-7. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian gel getah buah nangka tidak berpengaruh terhadap penurunan jumlah limfosit pada proses penyembuhan ulser traumatik mukosa labial tikus putih.
English Abstract
Ulcer is a condition of epithelial tissue disappearance due to various causes. Corticosteroids have the risk of side effects such as candidiasis. Jackfruit sap (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) gel as an alternative ulcer therapy containing active compounds flavonoids that can accelerate the healing process by inhibiting enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX) therefore the number of lymphocytes decreased. The aim of this research was to know the effect of jackfruit sap (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) gel on the decreasing number of lymphocytes in the healing process of labial mucosa traumatic ulcer in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) on day 3 and 7. The research type used is experimental with Randomized Post Test Only Control Group Design. This study was performed on white rats (Rattus norvegicus) divided into 4 groups of control, dose 0,5%, 1%, and 2% with time series (day 3 and 7). The results showed that the number of lymphocytes were not decrease significantly on day 3 and 77 (one way ANOVA, p>0,05). The number of lymphocytes in the control group at most on the day 3 and at least at 2% on the day 7. The conclusion of this study is the provision of jackfruit sap (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) gel were not decrease the number of lymphocytes in the healing process of labial mucosa traumatic ulcer in white rats (Rattus norvegicus).
