Abstract

Pneumonia nosokomial’ merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh infeksi bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa yang didapatkan pada saat di rawat rumah sakit. Di Amerika Serikat, pneumonia nosokomial menduduki peringkat kedua sebagai penyebab tersering infeksi nosokomial dengan angka kematian sebesar 20-50% dan jenis penyakit yang banyak di jumpai penduduk negara berkembang, yaitu Indonesia. Angka tersebut meningkat apabila disebabkan oleh bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu dikembangkan’ antibiotik baru terhadap Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Kulit jeruk lemon memiliki’ kandungan tannin, minyak atsiri, folivenol, dan saponin yang memiliki’ efek sebagai antimikroba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari antimikrobaaekstrakketanollkulit jeruk lemon’ (Citrus limon burm f.) pada Pseudomonas aeruginosa dengan menggunakan metode difusi sumuran. Konsentrasi ekstrak etanoI’ kulit jeruk lemon yang digunakan berturut-turut adalah 25 %, 35%, 45%, 55%, dan 65 % dengan empat kali pengulangan. Berdasarkan hasiI peneIitian, didapatkan zona inhibisi terbentuk pada seluruh konsentrasi uji tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan’ bahwa perubahan’ konsentrasi ekstrak’ etanol kulit jeruk lemon memberikan perbedaan efek yang bermakna pada terhadap zona inhibisi pertumbuhan bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa (p<0.05). Terdapat hubungan antar pemberian ekstrak dengan’ diameter zona hambat menunjukkan efek yang bermakna (Korelasi, R = 0,989). Dari hasil analisis data, dapat’ disimpulkan bahwa’ ekstrak etanol kulit jeruk lemon memiliki potensi sebagai antimikroba’ terhadap bakteri’ Pseudomonas aeruginosa secara in vitro.

English Abstract

Nosocomial pneumonia is a disease caused by the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections acquired at the time in the outpatient hospital. In the United States, nosocomial pneumonia was ranked second as a cause of nosocomial infection of tersering with a death rate of 20-50% and the most abundant type of illness suffered by residents of developing countries, including Indonesia. That number increased when caused by bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Based on this, need to be developed new antibiotics against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The skin of the lemon has a content of tannins, essential oil, saponins, and folivenol that have effect as antimicrobial. This research aims to know the influence of the ethanol extract antimicrobial skin lemon (Citrus limon burm f) in Pseudomonas aeruginosa by using sumuran diffusion method. Concentration of the extract of etanoI lemon orange peel used in a row is 25%, 35%, 45%, 55%, and 65% with four repetitions. Based on hasiI peneIitian, obtained as a zone of inhibition is formed on all the test concentrations. Kruskal-Wallis test results shows that the concentration changes extract ethanol orange peel lemon gives a meaningful effect on the difference towards the zone of inhibition of growth of bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa (p < 0.05). The results showed that the changes concentration extract ethanol orange peel lemon gives a meaningful effect on the difference towards the zone of inhibition of growth of bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa (p < 0.05). There is a relationship between the granting of extracts with drag zone diameter indicates a meaningful effects (of correlation, R = 0.989). From the results of data analysis, it was concluded that can extract of lemon orange peel ethanol has the potential as an antimicrobial against Pseudomonas aeruginosa in bacteria in vitro.
