Abstract

Masalah yang sering muncul pada anak usia preschool (4-5 tahun) adalah gangguan keterlambatan pada motorik halus. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi motorik halus adalah durasi bermain gadget. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara durasi bermain gadget dengan tingkat kemampuan motorik halus anak usia preschool (4-5 tahun). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian cross sectionalyang dilakukan dengan mengobservasi kemampuan motorik halus anak dengan panduan lembar observasi.Responden adalah sebanya 60 anak di TK AS Salam Kota Malang di pilih dengan teknik total sampling. Hasil uji statistik spearman correlation rank mempunyai p-value 0,000<0,05 yang berarti ada hubungan yang signifikan antara durasi bermain gadget dengan kemampuan motorik halus. Nilai koefisien korelasi spearman yaitu sebesar –0,637. Nilai tersebut menunjukkan ada hubungan yang kuat antara durasi bermain gadget dengan kemampuan motorik halus dapat dilihat dari hasil yang bernilai negative menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang terbalik artinya semakin tinggi durasi bermain gadget maka kemampuan motorik halus semakin menurun. disarankan bagi orang tua anak harus meningkatkan kewaspadaan agar selalu mendampingi dan membatasi durasi penggunaan gadget.

English Abstract

The problem that often arises in preschool-aged children (4-5 years old) is the delay of fine motor development. One of the factors influencing fine motor development is the duration of playing gadget. This study was aimed to analyze the relationship between the duration of playing gadget and the level of fine motor skills in preschool-aged children (4-5 years old). This study used a cross-sectional design which was carried out by observing the children's fine motor skills using a guide of observation sheets. The total number of respondents was 60 children from As Salaam Kindergarten of Malang City who were selected using a total sampling technique. The statistical test results of Spearman Correlation Rank showed that the p-value was 0.000<0.05, indicating that there was a significant relationship between the duration of playing gadget and the children’s fine motor skills. Moreover, the correlation coefficient value of Spearman was -0.637, indicating that there was a strong relationship between the duration of playing gadget and the children’s fine motor skills. It can be seen from the negative-valued result indicating an inverse relationship. That is, the longer duration of playing gadget will decrease children's fine motor skills. It is suggested that all parents increase alertness and awareness to always accompany their children and limit the duration of playing gadget.
