Abstract
Kaki diabetik merupakan komplikasi diabetes melitus dengan tanda dan gejala seperti kesemutan dan nyeri saat istirahat yang dapat mengganggu proses tidur. Neuromuskular Taping merupakan terapi suportif dengan menggunakan pita perekat elastisitas pada kulit yang dapat mengurangi rasa nyeri dan kesemutan sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas tidur pasien kaki diabetik. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh NMT terhadap kualitas tidur pasien kaki diabetik di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan true experimental dengan penelitian pre and post test control design. Responden penelitian ini dipilih secara acak, sebanyak 50 responden yang terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu 25 responden dalam kelompok kontrol dan 25 responden dalam kelompok intervensi. Kelompok kontrol tidak diberikan intervensi NMT dan kelompok intervensi akan diberikan intervensi NMT selama satu minggu. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan, kualitas tidur baik pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 2 responden mengalami penurunan menjadi 0 reponden dan kualitas tidur buruk sebanyak 23 responden mengalami peningkatan menjadi 25 responden sedangkan kualitas tidur baik pada kelompok intervensi sebesar 3 responden mengalami peningkatan menjadi 17 responden dan kualitas tidur buruk sebanyak 22 responden menurun menjadi 8 responden. Berdasarkan hasil uji Mann Whitney, pengaruh NMT terhadap kualitas tidur pasien kaki diabetik, didapatkan nilai p value (0,000) < α (0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan NMT terhadap kualitas tidur pasien kaki diabetik di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kota Malang.
English Abstract
Diabetic foot is a complication of diabetes mellitus with signs and symptoms such as tingling and pain when taking rest that can disrupt the sleep process. Neuromuscular Taping is a supportive therapy using adhesive tape elasticity of the skin which can reduce pain and tingling that can improve the sleep quality of patients’ with diabetic foot. The study aimed to determine the effect of NMT on the quality sleep of patients’ diabetic foot in Puskesmas (Public Health Center) Malang. This study used a true experimental design with pre and post test control design. The respondents of this study were selected randomly, as many as 50 respondents divided into 2 groups of 25 respondents in the control group and 25 respondents in the intervention group. The control group was not given a NMT intervention and the intervention group would be given a NMT intervention for one week. The results of this study found, the good sleep quality in the control group at 2 respondents decreased to 0 respondent and the poor sleep quality at 23 respondents increased to 25 respondents while the good sleep quality in the intervention group was 3 respondents increased to 17 respondents and the poor sleep quality at 22 respondents decreased to 8 respondents. Based on the result of Mann Whitney test, the influence of NMT on the sleep quality of patients’ diabetic foot, it was obtained p value (0.000) <α (0.05). Based on the result, it could be concluded that there was significant influence of NMT applications on the sleep quality of patients' diabetic foot in Puskesmas (Public Health Center) Work Area of Malang.
