Abstract
Makanan utama yang paling dibutuhkan oleh bayi adalah air susu ibu (ASI) karena berbagai kandungan di dalam ASI yang baik untuk perkembangan serta pertumbuhan bayi pada usia 0 sampai 6 bulan. Pemberian ASI eksklusif di masyarakat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, seperti karakteristik ibu dan partisipasi ibu mengikuti kelas ibu hamil salah satunya. Kelas ibu hamil membantu ibu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan memperoleh informasi dari tenaga kesehatan mengenai kehamilan, persalinan, masa setelah persalinan, dan perawatan anak, terutama pemberian ASI eksklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh karakteristik ibu (pengetahuan, umur ibu, tingkat pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan paritas) dan partisipasi mengikuti kelas ibu hamil terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif di Desa Bendowulung, Kabupaten Blitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Ibu dengan bayi usia 6 sampai 12 bulan dijadikan sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini dan menggunakan teknik total sampling untuk mengambil responden dengan total 45 orang. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan uji statistika Chi-Square test. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang bermakna antara pengetahuan ibu (p= 0,017), umur ibu (p=0,016), tingkat pendidikan terakhir (p= 0,035), paritas (p=0,000), dan partisipasi mengikuti kelas ibu hamil (p=0,000) terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif, namun tidak ada pengaruh yang kuat antara pekerjaan ibu (p=0,069) terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh yang kuat antara pengetahuan, umur, tingkat pendidikan, paritas dan partisipasi dalam kelas ibu hamil, namun tidak terdapat pengaruh pada pekerjaan terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif di Desa Bendowulung Kabupaten Blitar.
English Abstract
Breastfeeding (breast milk) is the main food that needed for infants because of the various content that is good for infant growth and development, especially at 0-6 months of age. Breastfeeding that contains colostrum can help improve the baby's immune system. Because of that, its good to give breastfeeding from age 0 to 6 months to help the formation of antibodies in the body. Exclusive breastfeeding in the community is influenced by several factors, such as maternal characteristics and maternal participation in the class of pregnancy. The class of pregnancy helps mothers to increase their knowledge and obtain information from health workers regarding pregnancy, childbirth, the period after childbirth, and childcareThe purpose of this research is to know the influence of mother's characteristics (knowledge, mother's age, education level, occupation, and parity) and participation in class of pregnancy on exclusive breastfeeding in Bendowulung Village, Blitar regency. This research use cross sectional design. The sample of the study was a mother who had 6 to 12 months old baby with 45 peoples taken with total sampling technique. The data were analyzed with statistic test Chi-Square. Result : there is a significant influence between mother's knowledge (p = 0,017), mother's age (p = 0,016), education (p = 0,035), parity (p = 0,000), and participation in maternal class (p = 0,000) on exclusive breastfeeding, but there is no effect between the work (p = 0.069) on exclusive breastfeeding. The conclusion of this study is that there is a strong influence between mother's knowledge, age, education, parity and participation in class of pregnancy, but there is no effect on the work on exclusive breastfeeding in Bendowulung Village, Blitar regency.
