Abstract
Kejadian henti jantung di luar rumah sakit sebagian besar terjadi di rumah. Di Amerika dan Kanada kejadian henti jantung sekitar 350.000 orang per tahun (AHA, 2010). Salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan harapan hidup korban dengan henti jantung yaitu melakukan penolongan pertama. Salah satu pelaksanaan penolongan pertama yaitu Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) dengan melakukan Resusitasi Jantung Paru (RJP). Selain dilakukan oleh paramedik, orang awam pun juga berperan penting dalam melakukan BHD. Salah satu bagian masyarakat awam yang berkompeten untuk dilatih BHD adalah remaja pada usia SMA. BHD dapat diajarkan pada siswa SMA dengan metode pendidikan kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sebelum dan setelah pendidikan kesehatan bantuan hidup dasar (BHD) terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswa SMAN 1 Wonoayu Sidoarjo. Metode yang digunakan yaitu quasy experimental dengan desain penelitian pre-test post-test control group design. Berdasarkan hasil analisa uji mann-whitney perbandingan tingkat pengetahuan pretest antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol dengan hasil nilai siginifikansi p 0.235, yang berarti tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan nilai pretest kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi. Setelah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan dan dilakukan analisa didapatkan nilai siginifikansi setelah intervensi p 0.000, artinya nilai posttest antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dengan tingkat pengetahuan kelompok intervensi lebih baik dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Hal ini menunjukkan pendidikan kesehatan BHD berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswa SMAN 1 Wonoayu Sidoarjo.
English Abstract
Cardiac arrest events outside the hospital most occur at home. In America and Canada the incidence of ceasing the heart around 350,000 people every year (AHA, 2010). One of the efforts in increasing the life expectancy of the victim with a cardiac arrest is to do first aid. One of the first aid implementation is Basic Life Support (BLS) by conducting Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Beside had done by paramedics, lay people also play an important role in doing BLS. One part of the lay community who are competent to be trained BLS is a teenager in high school age. BLS can be taught to high school students by health education methods. This study aimed to determine the effect before and after health education Basic Life Support (BLS) to the level of knowledge of students of Senior High School 1 Wonoayu Sidoarjo. The method used is quasy experimental with pre-test and post-test control group design. Based on the result of mann-whitney test analysis the comparison of pretest knowledge level between the intervention group and the control group with the result of significance p value 0.235, which means no significant difference of pretest value of control group and intervention group. After the health education and analysis done got the significance value after intervention p 0.000, this means that the value of the posttest between the control group and group interventions, there is a significant difference to the level of knowledge the intervention group better than the control group. This shows health education BLS effect significantly to the level of knowledge of students of Senior High School 1 Wonoayu Sidoarjo.
