Abstract

Perilaku makan adalah berbagai hal yang mampu memengaruhi keinginan untuk mengonsumsi makanan baik dari segi jumlah maupun jenis makanan yang dikonsumsi yang terdiri dari restraint eating, emotional eating, dan external eating. Perilaku makan dapat mempengaruhi status gizi seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perbedaan perilaku makan orang dewasa berdasarkan status gizi di Kota Malang. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah cross sectional yang dilakukan pada 144 responden dan dipilih secara stratified random sampling pada 5 kecamatan di Kota Malang. Seluruh responden akan dilakukan pengukuran antropometri meliputi berat badan, tinggi badan, dan lingkar pinggang. Data perilaku makan menggunakan instrumen Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire (DEBQ). Perbedaan perilaku makan berdasarkan status gizi dilakukan menggunakan Kruskal Wallis dan One Way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian sebanyak 30,6% responden memiliki status gizi obesitas tingkat 1. Hasil uji statistik didapatkan p=0,024 pada perilaku makan restraint eating, p=0,453 pada perilaku makan emotional eating, dan p=0,771 pada perilaku makan external eating. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan perilaku makan restraint eating berdasarkan status gizi, sedangkan tidak terdapat perbedaan perilaku makan emotional eating dan external eating berdasarkan status gizi orang dewasa di Kota Malang.

English Abstract

Eating behavior is a variety of things that can affect the desire to consume food both in terms of quantity and type of food consumed which consists of restraint eating, emotional eating, and external eating. Eating behavior is one of the factors which influence nutritional status. This research aims to examine the differences in eating behavior in adults based on nutritional status in Malang. The design of this research is cross sectional section study conducted on 144 respondents and selected using stratified random sampling in 5 districts in Malang. On all respondents anthropometry measurements which include weight, height, and waist circumference would be performed. The eating behavior data used Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire (DEBQ) instrument. To see the differences in eating behavior on nutritional status, statistical tests were performed using Kruskal-Wallis and One Way ANOVA. In the research results, a total of 30.6% of respondents have obesity level 1 for the nutritional status. From the result of statistic test, it is obtained p = 0.024 on restraint eating behavior, p = 0.453 on emotional eating behavior, and p = 0.771 on external eating behavior. The conclusion of this research is that there are differences in restraint eating behavior on nutritional status, and there is no difference in eating behavior of emotional eating and external eating on nutritional status of adults in Malang.
