Prabowo, Suryo Ngudi (2018) Analisis Pengurangan Risiko MSDs Pada Pekerja Batik Tulis Dengan Metode Quick Exposure Check (QEC). Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Industrial development in Indonesia in the sector of batik craft has been developed. One of them is UKM Yoko Batik which is engaged in batik making located in Cluring District, Banyuwangi Regency. The facilities available at UKM Yoko Batik is still inconvenience and workers easily feel tired. This is because the facilities provided by the Yoko Batik UKM are still not in accordance with the body dimensions of the workers. Based on the results of the Nordic body map questionnaire, it can be seen that the number of workers' pain complaints are in the upper body. If the complaints are left continuously, it will cause potential injury to Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSDs) that may be experienced by batik workers. So that further action is needed to reduce the risk of MSDs and the productivity of UKM Yoko Batik itself will not be affected. Based on the results of the Nordic body map questionnaire, it can be seen that the number of workers' pain complaints is in the upper body. The right method used in this problem is the Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) method because the QEC assessment is done onto a static body and dynamic work to estimate the risk level of body posture by involving elements of repetition of movement, energy/load and duration of work for different areas of the body. Data collection starts with conducting observer assessments as well as assessing workers on written batik workers. After that look for the value of the exposure score and exposure level. The results of the Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) are in the form of an exposure score and an exposure level that shows the risk of upper body injury. After knowing the risks present in the body, work facilities are repaired using the anthropometric approach. The new work facility design was made based on body dimensions in accordance with anthropometric data and looked at risk factors from calculations using the Quick Exposure Check (QEC) method. Based on recommendations for improvements that have been given previously that recommendations for improvements given can reduce the exposure score and exposure level from several factors. In the back factor, the exposure score drops from 24.9, which is included in the high-level category, to 22 which is included in the medium-level category. The wrist/ hand factor fixed exposure score was 26 and included in the medium-level category and the shoulder/arm factor also had a 30 exposures score which was included in the medium-level category, while the neck exposure score factor was initially 16.2 and included in the category very high-level drops to 14 and is included in the high-level category. In the pressure factor, the exposure score is initially 9 and is included in the highlevel category down to 1 and included in the low-level category. In addition to reducing the exposure score and exposure level from several factors, recommendations for improvements that have been given also reduce the action level. Before the recommendation is given the action level value for the total work element is 55.2% or more than 40%, and is in the 50%- 69% category. The work element is included in the unsafe category which means further research and changes are needed. After the recommendation is given, the action level value of QEC for workers accomplishing batik is also decreased to 47.3%, which was in the range of 40%-49%. It's indicating that the improvements made the work done safely, but more research is still needed.
