Abstract

Dunia otomotif pada ero globalisasi saat ini sangat berkembang dengan pesat, salah satu bentuk perkembangan industri otomotif adalah dengan berkembangnya motor bakar 4 langkah yang telah dikembangkan menjadi 6 langkah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bukaan trotle terhadap unjuk kerja motor bakar 6 langkah dengan menggunakan bahan bakar ethanol 99%. Dalam penelitian motor bakar 6 langkah dengan sistem injeksi menggunakan variasi bukaan throttle 35%, variasi bukaan throttle 40%, variasi bukaan throttle 45%, dan variasi bukaan throttle 50% . Dengan interval putaran sebesar 300 rpm. Untuk mendapatkan unjuk kerja motor bakar 6 langkah dinilai dari nilai torsi, daya efektif, SFCe dan efisiensi termal. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pengujian ini bervarisi, dimana torsi terbesar dihasilkan oleh variasi bukaan throttle 50% yaitu sebesar 0.51 kg.m pada putaran 4200 rpm, daya efektif terbesar dihasilkan oleh variasi bukaan throttle 50%, yaitu pada putaran 4200 rpm sebesar 3.01 hp, konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik efektif terendah dihasilkan oleh variasi bukaan throttle 50%, yaitu pada putaran 4200 rpm sebesar 0.244 kg/hp.h, efisiensi thermal efektif terbesar dihasilkan oleh variasi bukaan throttle 50%, yaitu putaran 4200 sebesar 40.86%.

English Abstract

In this era of globalization, the automotive world has developed rapidly, one kind of it, is the development of 4-stroke engine which has been developed into 6-stroke. This study aims to determine the effect of the throttle opening on the performance of the 6-stroke engine using 99% ethanol fuel. Then in this study, applied that a 6-stroke engine with injection system uses throttle opening variation of 35%, 40%, 45%, and 50%. Also 300 rpm as a lap interval. The performance result of a 6-stroke engine is rated from the value of torque, effective power, SFCe and thermal efficiency. The results obtained in this test are vary. The greatest torque is 0.51 kg.m which is generated by the 50% throttle opening variation at 4200 rpm rotation. Then, the biggest effective power is 3.01 hp, which is generated by the 50% throttle opening variation at 4200 rpm. Next, the lowest specific fuel consumption is 0.244 kg/hp.h, which is generated by the 50% throttle opening variation at 4200 rpm. Last, the largest effective thermal efficiency is generated by 50% throttle opening variation, it is 40.86% at 4200 rpm.
