Abstract

Literatur merupakan produk dari pemikiran manusia dan dapat dikatakan sebagai suatu refleksi dari masyarakat. Literatur juga merupakan sebuah cara untuk melihat dan memahami realitas. Puisi adalah salah satu perwujudan dari ekspresi seni dan memiliki pesan-pesan tertentu untuk disampaikan meski kuantitasnya tak sepanjang atau sebanyak prosa. Hal yang menarik dari sebuah puisi dapat dikategorikan sebagai salah satu media untuk menyampaikan ide dari penulis puisi dengan menggunakan bahasa indah. Lagu merupakan salah satu bentuk puisi yang dapat diteliti untuk mengungkapkan pesan. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep Focalization oleh Gerard Genette yang berfokus pada sudut pandang untuk menganalisis objek penelitian. Terdapat tiga tipe fokalisasi dalam menganalisis sebuah teks naratif. Tiga tipe tersebut adalah zero, internal dan eksternal. Selain itu terdapat tiga segi atau aspek yakni perseptual, ideologis, dan psikologis. Peneliti terlebih dahulu menjelaskan tentang konsep fokalisasi, memaparkan semua lagu yang terdapat dalam album, kemudian menganalisis data yang terdiri dari lirik lagu dan kata ganti orang di dalamnya yang menunjukkan beberapa sudut pandang dari beberapa karakter dalam album Kezia oleh Protest the Hero. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sudut pandang dalam album Kezia oleh Protest the Hero pada tahun 2005. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa di dalam album tersebut terdapat beberapa sudut pandang dalam melihat sebuah cerita yang sama.

English Abstract

Literature is a product of the human consciousness and as the reflection of the society way of life also as the knowledge system to look and understand the reality. Poetry, as the oldest form of artistic expression, contains message to be deciphered, while the quantity isn't as long as prose. What's interesting from poetry is the usage of aesthetic language to deliver the poet's message. Song is one of poetry form that could be analyzed to convey the message inside it. This research uses the Focalization concepts by Gerard Genette focusing in multiple point of view to analyze the object. There are three types of focalization in analyzing narrative text. Those three types are zero, internal, and external. There are three facets of focalization which are perceptual, ideological, and psychological. The writer explains briefly about focalization and presents all songs inside the album, and analyzes the data consists of song lyrics and pronouns found which represents some multiple point of views in Kezia album by Protest the Hero. The purpose of this undergraduate thesis is to identify the multiple point of views found inside Kezia album by Protest the Hero year 2005. The study shows that the album represents some multiple point of views in telling the same stories.
