Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya permasalahan yang dialami oleh siswa yaitu siswa kesulitan mengembangkan ide dalam menulis dan kurangnya minat siswa dalam menulis cerpen. Teknik mengamati, meniru, menambahi (3M) dipilih sebagai cara untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini penulis akan menjawab rumusan masalah yaitu, (1) bagaimanakah penerapan teknik Mengamati, Meniru, Menambahi (3M) dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri pada tahap mengamati?, (2) bagaimanakah penerapan teknik Mengamati, Meniru, Menambahi (3M) dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri pada tahap meniru?, dan (3) bagaimanakah penerapan teknik Mengamati, Meniru, Menambahi (3M) dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri pada tahap menambahi? Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Muhammadiyah Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri dengan subjek kelas X Keperawatan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan teknik 3M dalam menulis teks cerpen pada tahap mengamati, meniru, dan menambahi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik mengamati, meniru, menambahi (3M) dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen pada siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa dalam menulis cerpen, khususnya dalam menggali ide dan minat siswa menulis cerpen. Hasil pembelajaran siswa dalam menulis cerpen dengan tahap mengamati memiliki nilai rata-rata 63,15, pada tahap meniru memiliki nilai rata-rata 72,75, dan pada tahap menambahi memiliki nilai rata-rata 74,65. Jadi, teknik 3M pada tahap mengamati belum mampu membantu siswa menulis cerpen, tahap meniru cukup mampu membantu siswa menulis cerpen, dan tahap meniru sudah membantu siswa menulis cerpen.

English Abstract

The background of this research is the problem experienced by students, where they have trouble developing ideas in writing and also their low interest in writing short stories. The writer chooses the technique of observing, imitating, and modifying (teknik mengamati, meniru, menambahi) to solve this problem. In this research, the writer will answer the following research questions, (1) how is the implementation of the observing, imitating, and modifying technique in the learning process of writing short stories for grade X students at Muhammadiyah Vocational High School Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri in the observing stage?, (2) how is the implementation of the observing, imitating, and modifying technique in the learning process of writing short stories for grade X students at Muhammadiyah Vocational High School Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri in the imitating stage?, and (3) how is the implementation of the observing, imitating, and modifying technique in the learning process of writing short stories for grade X students at Muhammadiyah Vocational High School Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri in the modifying stage? The method of this research is descriptive qualitative. This study is done at Muhammadiyah Vocational High School Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri with the subject of grade X in the Nursing Class. The aim of this research is to know the implementation of the observing, imitating, and modifying technique in the learning process of writing short stories in all three stages. The research results show that the observing, imitating, and modifying technique in the learning process of writing short stories for grade X students at Muhammadiyah Vocational High School Ngadiluwih Kabupaten Kediri eases the students in writing short stories, especially in finding ideas and in increasing their interests in writing short stories. In writing short stories the students’ learning results present the average score of 63,15 in the observing stage, the average score of 72,75 in the imitating stage, and the average score of 74,65. Thus, the observing, imitating, and modifying technique in the observing stage has not yet helped the students in writing short stories successfully, whereas the imitating and modifying stage, it has sufficiently helped the students.
