Abstract
Pariwisata merupakan salah satu bentuk pemanfaatan sumberdaya alam yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi dan mampu menyerap tenaga kerja serta mendorong perkembangan daerah. dengan adanya pariwisata, maka negara khusunya lagi daerah yang mempunyai pariwisata yang baik akan mendapatkan pemasukan dari pendapatan dari setiap objek pariwisata. Potensi pariwisata di Kabupaten Lumajang seperti Air terjun Tumpak sewu sangat lah bagus, namun pengembangan objek wisata belum dilakukan dengan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi apa yang sudah dilakukan oleh Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan untuk mengembangkan objek wisata air terjun tumpak sewu. penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis data terdiri dari data primer yang diperoleh dari wawancara langsung dan observasi. Sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari rencana strategis Dinas Pariwisata dan kebudayaan kabupaten lumajang dan dokumen informasi yang berkaitan dengan masalah yang akan diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam pengembangan objek wisata air terjun tumpak sewu, pihak dinas pariwisata dan kebudayaan kabupaten sudah melakukan beberapa hal, seperti (1) memberikan bantuan uang sebesar 300 juta untuk pembangunan sarana dan prasarana, (2) membantu mempromosikan objek wisata air terjun tumpak sewu (3) memperbaiki beberapa jalan rusak menuju objek wisata air terjun tumpak sewu.
English Abstract
Tourism is one of the way of exploiting the natural resources that have a high economic value and able to absorb the workforce as well as encourage the development of the region. with the tourism, countries, especially the area again has a good tourism will get the infusion of revenue from each object of tourism. Lumajang tourism potential such as Tumpak Sewu waterfall is very nice, however the development of tourism has not carried out with optimal. This research aims to identify what is already done by the Department of tourism and culture to develop attractions of tumpak sewu waterfalls. This research uses descriptive research methods with qualitative approach. Data type consists of primary data obtained from direct observation and interviews. While secondary data derived from the strategic plan for tourism and culture of lumajang and document information pertaining to issues that will be examined. The results of this study show that in the development of tourist attractions of tumpak sewu waterfalls, the tourism and cultural district is already doing some things, such as (1) provide aid money of 300 million for the construction of infrastructure and facilities, (2) help promote the attractions tumpak sewu waterfall (3) fix some damaged roads leading to tourist attractions tumpak sewu waterfall.
