Abstract
Terjadinya alihguna lahan pada kawasan sub-DAS Brantas hulu yang awalnya hutan diubah menjadi lahan pertanian, dan pemukiman menimbulkan kekhawatiran akan peningkatan erosi lahan. Citra satelit terbaru menunjukkan 16.338 ha hutan mengalami kerusakan berat, dan 72.894 ha hutan mengalami kerusankan sedang akibat alih guna lahan. Sebagaimana kita ketahui bahwa lahan pertanian memiliki tingkat erosi yang tinggi, salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai erosi lahan pertanian adalah vegetasi dan penerapan teknik konservasi lahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari perbandingan nilai erosi lahan pertanian dengan vegetasi sawi dan kentang dengan berbagai penerapan teknik konservasi yang terdapat di sub-DAS Brantas Hulu. Metode pengukuran erosi lahan yang digunakan adalah metode USLE dan metode pengukuran plot erosi. Penggunaan dua metode pengukuran bertujuan untuk membandingkan hasil pengukuran erosi diantara kedua metode tersebut. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari hingga Agustus 2017. Penelitian dilakukan pada 6 plot yang secara administrasi berada di Dusun Kekep dan Dusun Tulungrejo, Desa Tulungrejo, Kecamatan Bumiaji, Kota Batu. Spesifikasi plot pengamatan diantaranya adalah plot 1 hutan lindung, plot 2 kebun apel, plot 3 vegetasi sawi dengan teknik konservasi gulud searah kontur, plot 4 sawi teras bangku, plot 5 kentang gulud searah lereng dan plot 6 sawi gulud searah lereng. Pengukuran erosi pada masing-masing plot menggunakan metode pengukuran plot erosi dan metode pendugaan USLE. Variabel penelitian meliputi pengamatan volume limpasan dan erosi, CH, pengamatan tanah, dan kelerengan. Hasil pengukuran erosi menggunakan kedua metode tersebut kemudian dibandingkan hasilnya dengan menggunakan metode analisa data uji T berpasangan. Pengamatan erosi menggunakan kedua metode menunjukkan hasil bahwa plot 3 memiliki nilai erosi tertinggi dan plot 6 memiliki nilai erosi terendah. Hasil penelitian menggunakan metode USLE pada plot 3 tercatat nilai erosi total mencapai 436,07 ton.ha-1, sedangkan plot 6 menghasilkan erosi sebesar 251,39 ton.ha-1. Pengujian menggunakan uji T berpasangan menghasilkan P value sebesar 0,016 yang artinya hasil uji T berpasangan terhadap nilai erosi yang dididapatkan dari hasil pengukuran erosi menggunakan plot erosi dan metode USLE memiliki hasil pengukuran yang berbeda nyata. Hasil analisa data menggunakan uji T berpasangan terbukti dengan adanya perbedaan hasil pengukuran erosi yang cukup jauh antara pengukuran erosi menggunakan plot erosi dan USLE.
English Abstract
The occurrence of land use in the upstream Brantas sub-watershed area which was initially converted into agricultural land, and settlements raises concerns about increased land erosion. The latest satellite imagery shows that 16,338 hectares of the forest was severely damaged, and 72,894 hectares of forest experienced moderate damage due to land use change. As we know that agricultural land has a high level of erosion, one of the factors that influence the erosion value of agricultural land is vegetation and the application of land conservation techniques. This study aims to compare the erosion value of agricultural land with mustard and potato vegetation with various applications of conservation techniques found in the Upper Brantas watershed. The method of measuring land erosion used is the USLE method and the method of measuring erosion plots. The use of two measurement methods aims to compare the results of erosion measurements between the two methods. The study was conducted from January to August 2017. The study was conducted on 6 plots that were administratively located in Kekep Hamlet and Tulungrejo Hamlet, Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. Specifications of observation plots include plots 1 is protected forest, the plot 2 is apple orchards, plot 3 is mustard vegetation in the direction of contour conservation techniques, plots of 4 mustard terrace benches, plot 5 is a potato in the direction of slope and plot 6 is mustard in the direction of the slope. Erosion measurements in each plot used the erosion plot measurement method and the USLE estimation method. Research variables included observations of runoff and erosion volume, CH, soil observation, and slope. The results of erosion measurements using the two methods were then compared with the results using the paired T-test data analysis method. Erosion observation using both methods shows that plot 3 has the highest erosion value and plot 6 has the lowest erosion value. The results of the study using the USLE method in plot 3 recorded total erosion values reaching 436.07 ton.ha-1, while plot 6 produced erosion of 251.39 ton.ha-1. Tests using paired T-test produce a P value of 0.016 which means that the results of paired T-tests on erosion values obtained from the results of erosion measurements using erosion plots and the USLE method have significantly different measurement results. The results of data analysis using paired T-tests are proven by the differences in the results of erosion measurements that are quite far between erosion measurements using erosion and USLE plots.
