Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari variabel makro eknomi yang terdiri dari suku bunga, inflasi, produk domestik bruto dan pendapatan perkapita terhadap indeks saham syariah yang ada pada negara yang tergabung pada Organisasi Kerjasama Islam. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 8 negara yaitu Malaysia, Uni Emirate Arab, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Turki, Qatar, Indonesia yang memiliki kontribusi terbesar di industri keuangan syariah. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah Data Panel yang terdiri dari data cross section dan time series untuk menghasilkan data yang lebih banyak dan akurat. Dalam penelitian ini didapatkan yaitu suku bunga dan pendapatan perkapita berpengaruh negatif terhadap indeks saham syariah, sedangkan produk domestik bruto dan inflasi berpengaruh positif dimana semua variabel signifikan. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, pemerintah dan investor pasar modal syariah khususnya saham syariah dapat menjadikan variabel – variabel pada penelitian ini untuk memprediksi arah gerak indeks saham syariah
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of economic macro variables consisting of interest rates, inflation, gross domestic product and income per capita on Islamic stock indices that exist in countries that belonging to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The research was conducted in 8 countries, namely Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Turkey, Qatar and Indonesia which has the largest contribution in the Islamic finance industry. The analytical tool used is Data panel consisting of cross section data and time series data to produce more and accurate data. In this study it was found that interest rates and income per capita had a negative effect on the Islamic stock index, while gross domestic product and inflation had a positive effect where all variables were significant. With this study, the government and investors in the Islamic capital market, especially sharia stocks, can make the variables in this study to predict the direction of the sharia stock index.
