Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat alruisme pada mahasiswa baru Program Studi Psikologi Universitas Brawijaya ditinjau dari etnis Jawa dan Non- Jawa. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan metode kuantitatif, dengan partisipan 113 orang. Alat Ukur yang digunakan adalah Self Report Altruism Scale Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Independent Sample T Test. Hasil dari uji hipotesis didapatkan bahwa nilai signifikansi untuk kelompok Jawa dan Non-Jawa adalah 0,777 (p> 0,05) sehingga dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan rata- rata tingka altrusime antara kelompok Etnis Jawa dan Etnis Non- Jawa.
English Abstract
This study aims to determine differences in the altruism among collage student based on ethnical identity, (Java and non Java). The method used in this research is quantitative method. This study was conducted on 113 respondents consisting of 76 Javaneese respondents, and 37 non Javaneese respondents. The sampling technique used is Total Sampling. The measuring tool used is Self Report Altruism Scale which is owned by Rushton (2016). Data analysis technique was conducted using Independent Sample T-test. Hypothesis test results obtained significance value for the group Java and Non Java of 0.775 (p> 0.05). So it can be concluded that there is no difference in the average of altruism between the groups Javaneese and Non Javaneese.
