Abstract
Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini ialah melakukan perbandingan antara pendekatan Classical Test Theory (CTT) dan pendekatan Item Response Theory (IRT). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam pendekatan CTT ialah corrected item total correlation, Cronbach Alpha dan Standard Error of Measurement (SEM), sedangkan pada pendekatan IRT dengan menggunakan Generalized Partial Credit Model (GPCM), Information Function (IF), dan Standard Error of Measurement (SEM). Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk diuji karakteristik psikometriknya ialah The Scale of Ethnic Experience (SEE). SEE merupakan alat ukur yang dibuat untuk menilai konstruk yang berkaitan dengan komponen kognitif pada akulturasi seseorang. Dalam penelitian ini juga dilakukan transadaptasi pada skala SEE. Subjek yang digunakan sebanyak 400 mahasiswa yang bukan berasal dari Malang. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan IRT lebih sesuai untuk digunakan dalam menganalisis SEE. Selain itu, hasil yang diberikan mengatakan bahwa pendekatan IRT lebih sensitif dan lebih mendalam dalam menganalisis item.
English Abstract
The main purpose of this research is to compare the Classical Test Theory approach (CTT) and Item Response Theory approach (IRT). Data analysis techniques used in the CTT approach are corrected total correlation items, Cronbach Alpha and Standard Error of Measurement (SEM), while in IRT approach using Generalized Partial Credit Model (GPCM), Information Function (IF), and Standard Error of Measurement (SEM). The measuring instrument used to test its psychometric characteristics is The Scale of Ethnic Experience (SEE). SEE is a measuring tool designed to assess constructs related to the cognitive component of a person's acculturation. In this study also performed transadaptation on the SEE scale. Subjects used as many as 400 students who are not from Malang. The results of this study indicate that the IRT approach is more suitable for use in analyzing SEE. In addition, the results provided say that the IRT approach is more sensitive and deeper in analyzing items.
