Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui modal sosial Komunitas street art Ngaco dalam Mempertahankan eksistensinya. Menurut Putnam, modal sosial adalah hal yang mendorong untuk melakukan tindakan secara lebih efektif untuk mencapai tujuan dari kehidupan sosial yang terkait jaringan, norma dan kepercayaan (Field, 2010). Yang dimaksud dalam modal sosial di sini adalah sistem nilai yang dianut secara bersama serta aturan mengenai perilaku sosial didalam masyarakat yang didalamnya meliputi kepercayaan dan tanggung jawab. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini menggunakan teori modal sosial Putnam sebagai alat untuk menganalisis permasalahan yang terjadi dalam komunitas street art Ngaco di Kota Malang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa komunitas street art Ngaco dalam menjaga eksistensinya dengan beberapa modal sosial yang dimiliki, yaitu dalam bentuk norma yang ada di komunitas street art Ngaco. Dimana setiap anggota saling mendukung dan saling melengkapi antar anggota. Seperti saling menghargai setiap karya-karya yang dituangkan oleh anggota komunitas street art Ngaco. Memberikan pengetahuan tentang seni graffiti terhadap anggota baru atau orang yang ingin belajar graffiti. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk memperkuat solidaritas komunitas street art Ngaco. Bentuk norma di luar komunitas street art Ngaco adalah dengan cara memberikan kesan terbaik kepada komunitas street art yang ada diluar Kota Malang. Hal ini dilakukan dengan cara selalu menghadiri undangan yang ada, serta menyiapkan tempat menggambar untuk komunitas street art yang datang ke Kota Malang. Hal ini bertujuan untuk saling menghargai karya-karya yang dimiliki.
English Abstract
This research aims to know the social capital in Street Art Ngaco Community in defending its existence. Putnam said that capital social is something that induce to commit the act effectively to reach the goals of society which related by the network, norms and trust (Field, 2010). The meaning of capital social is the system that hold together and also the rules about social behaviour inside the society which includes trust and responsibility. Furthermore, this research used Putnam‟s capital social theory as the instrument to analyze the problem that happen in street art ngaco community on Malang. The method that used in this research is Qualitative Deskriptive. The Technique to collect datas are used interview, observation and documentation. The result of this research showed that Street art ngaco community in defending its existence with a few capital social which had by community, in its form of norms. The norms is every members of street art ngaco support and complete each other. It is like give an appreciation on every creations which is made by street art ngaco community. Giving the new konwledge about grafitti art to the new member or the person who wants to learn grafitti. This is intended to strengthen the solidarty of street art ngaco community. The form of the norms outside street art ngaco community are giving the best impression to every street art community which is outside Malang. This is achieved by attending every invitation which given, and also prepared the place to draw for every street art community who come in Malang. This is aims to appreciating every creations which is made or had.
