Abstract
Komunikasi terapeutik dapat dilihat dalam dua perspektif yaitu perspektif barat dan perspektif timur. Perspektif barat lebih melihat secara rasional dan berbasis scientific. Namun proses terapi juga dapat dilakukan dalam perspektif timur yang menekankan pada spiritualitas. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan spiritual banyak berfokus pada rekomendasi Islam dan hubungannya dengan terapi spiritual, sementara penelitian mengenai komunikasi terapeutik berbasis pendekatan spiritual dalam konteks metode rehabilitasi masih jarang dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan pembina kepada pasien melalui metode inabah dalam rehabilitasi pecandu narkoba. Melalui desain penelitian fenomenologi, penelitian ini dilakukan pada lima informan pembina di Pondok Remaja Inabah XIX Surabaya. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses komunikasi terapeutik dipahami lebih dari sekadar melakukan pendampingan, karena pembina meyakini bahwa pecandu narkoba itu tidak hanya berkaitan dengan masalah sosial melainkan masalah rendahnya spiritualitas. Hal tersebut sangat lekat dengan komunikasi terapeutik dalam perspektif timur. Metode inabah yang diterapkan pada Pondok Remaja Inabah XIX Surabaya terdiri atas dua tahapan, yakni tahap perawatan dan pasca perawatan. Seluruh tahapan tersebut diarahkan pada satu nilai khusus yakni sebagai upaya mendekatkan diri kepada Allah SWT. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam tahapan metode inabah terdapat nilai spiritual yang berusaha dibagi dan dipahami oleh pembina dan pasien pencandu narkoba.
English Abstract
Therapeutic communication can be seen in two perspectives: the western perspective and the eastern perspective. The western perspective looks more rational and scientific. However, the therapeutic process can also be done in an eastern perspective which emphasizes on spirituality. Several previous studies have shown that many spiritual approach focus on Islamic recommendations and their relation to spiritual therapy, while research on therapeutic communication based on a spiritual approach in the context of therapy and rehabilitation methods is still rarely done. This research aims to know how therapeutic communication process conducted by the supervisors to the patient through inabah method in rehabilitation of drug addicts. Through phenomenology research design, this research was conducted on five supervisors in Pondok Remaja Inabah XIX Surabaya. The data was collected in this research using in-depth interview. The results of this study indicates that the therapeutic communication process is understood as something more than just mentoring, because the supervisors believes that the drug addiction is not only related to social problem but also caused by low spirituality. It is very closely related to therapeutic communication in the eastern perspective. The inabah method applied to Pondok Remaja Inabah XIX Surabaya consists of two stages, namely the stage of treatment and post-treatment. All the stages are directed to a special value that is as an effort to get closer to Allah SWT. This study shows that in the stages of inabah method there is a spiritual value trying to be shared and understood by the supervisors and the drug addict patient.
