Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan resiliensi pada penderita diabetes melitus tipe II (DM tipe II). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 212 orang yang telah terdiagnosa DM tipe II di puskesmas dan Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) yang berada di kota dan kabupaten Malang. Dukungan sosial diukur dengan menggunakan Social Support Scale in Chronic Illness Inventory (SSCII) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Resiliensi diukur dengan menggunakan skala resiliensi yang telah dimodifikasi untuk disesuaikan dengan karakteristik subjek penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik korelasi Product Moment Pearson. Hasil dari analisis tersebut menunjukan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan (p < 0,05) antara dukungan sosial dan resiliensi pada penderita DM tipe II, yang berarti bahwa semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang diterima oleh penderita DM tipe II maka akan semakin tinggi pula resiliensi yang dimiliki oleh individu tersebut.
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the relation between social support and resilience in people with type II diabetes mellitus. The study involves 212 people who diagnosed with type II diabetes mellitus in Community Health Centre and Regional General Hospital located in Malang’s city and district in a quantitative – correlational study. Social support is measured by Social Support Scale in Chronic Illness Inventory (SSCII) that has been Adapted to Bahasa. Resilience is measured by resilience scale that has been modified to fit in the characteristics of research’s subjects. The data were analized using simple correlation Product Moment Pearson. The result shows that social support and resilence obtain a positive and significant correlation (p < 0,05) within people with type II diabetes mellitus, it shows that the higher social support received by people with type II diabetes mellitus, the higher their resilience.
