Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui variabel mediator kemampuan kerja karyawan pada PT Petrokimia Gresik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT Petrokimia Gresik yang berjumlah 3.064 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 97 orang dengan menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Berdasarkan dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, penelitian ini menunjukkan pendidikan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan kerja karyawan menghasilkan koefisien beta sebesar 0,309 dengan nilai signifikansi t sebesar 0,002, pelatihan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan kerja karyawan menghasilkan koefisien beta sebesar 0,540 dengan nilai signifikansi t sebesar 0,000, dan kemampuan kerja karyawan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan menghasilkan koefisien beta sebesar 0,514 dengan nilai signifikansi t sebesar 0,000. Kemudianpendidikan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan menghasilkan koefisien beta sebesar 0,192 dengan nilai signifikansi t sebesar 0,012, sedangkan pelatihan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan menghasilkan koefisien beta sebesar 0,267 dengan nilai signfikansi t sebesar 0,002.
English Abstract
This research aims to explain the effect of education and training toward employee performance by employee work ability as mediator variable at PT Petrokimia Gresik. The population of this research were employees of PT Petrokimia Gresik which amounted to 3,064 people. The sample in this research were 97 people which has done by using proportional random sampling technique. Based on the result, this research shows that education significantly affects employee work ability resulted beta coefficient in the amount of 0.309 with a score significance value of t as big as 0.002, training significantly affects employee work ability resulted beta coefficient in the amount of 0.540 with a score significance value of t as big as 0.000, and the employee work ability significantly affects employee performance resulted beta coefficient in the amount of 0.514 with a score significance value of t as big as 0.000. Then, education significantly affects employee performance resulted beta coefficient in the amount of 0.192 with a score significance value of t as big as 0.012 while training significantly affects employee performance resulted beta coefficient in the amount of 0.267 with a score significance value of t as big as 0.002.
