Abstract
Sektor Pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor ekonomi yang berkembang pesat di dunia. Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara yang berbentuk kepulauan memiliki berbagai macam jenis pariwisata yang tersebar dari sabang hingga merauke dan diisi oleh jenis wisata alam, budaya, maupun peninggalan sejarah. Sumatera Barat sebagai salah satu provinsi di Pulau Sumatera memiliki pertumbuhan pariwisata yang cukup baik yang termasuk kedalam RPJMD Provinsi Sumatera Barat Tahun 2010-2015. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh investasi sektor pariwisata terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Sumatera Barat yang dapat dilihat dari adanya peningkatan jumlah PDRB sektor pariwisata, jumlah hotel/restoran, jumlah objek wisata, jumlah wisatawan yang ada di Sumatera Barat. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dengan metode kuantitatif. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data panel, yaitu gabungan antara data time series dan cross section. Data time series menggunakan periode tahun 2011-2015 dan data cross section dari 12 kabupaten/kota. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan semua variabel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja.Sedangkan secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa variabel jumlah hotel/restoran, jumlah objek wisata, dan PDRB memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja, variabel kunjungan wisatawan memiliki pengaruh negatif danviii signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja, serta variabel investasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja.
English Abstract
The Tourism Sector is one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world. Indonesia, as one of the islands in the form of various types of tourism, is spread from Sabang to Merauke and is filled with types of natural, cultural and historical heritage. West Sumatra as one of the provinces in Sumatra Island has quite good tourism growth which is included in the RPJMD of West Sumatra Province in 2010-2015. This study aims to determine the influence of tourism sector investment on employment in West Sumatra which can be seen from the increase in the number of GRDP in the tourism sector, the number of hotels / restaurants, the number of tourist attractions, the number of tourists in West Sumatra. In this study using secondary data with quantitative methods. Data analysis uses panel data analysis, which is a combination of time series data and cross section. Time series data uses the period 2011-2015 and cross section data from 12 districts / cities. The results showed that simultaneously all variables had a significant effect on labor absorption. While partially showing that the number of hotels / restaurants, the number of tourist objects, and GRDP had a positive and significant influence on employment, tourist visiting variables had a negative and significant effect. on employment, and investment variables have a positive and insignificant influence on employment.
