Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sistem produksi sebuah perusahaan yang dinilai memiliki kelemahan-kelamahan, seperti adanya pemborosan, sehingga peneliti dapat menyarankan untuk memperbaiki sistem produksi yang lebih efektif dan efisien dengan salah satu cara menerapkan sistem lean production berdasarkan persyaratan just-in-time. Penulisan ini merupakan studi kasus pada PT. Anugerah Putra Siantan yang bergerak pada bidang industri manufaktur, dan hasil dari penelitian ini hanya berlaku untuk PT. Anugerah Putra Siantan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara komparatif, yaitu dengan membandingkan antara teori mengenai prinsip lean production berdasarkan model just-in-time dan keadaan yang sebenarnya di perusahaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi kegiatan dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa perusahaan masih belum sepenuhnya menganut sistem lean production, sehingga penulis menemukan beberapa kekurangan dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan agar sistem produksi PT. Anugerah Putra Siantan menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien.
English Abstract
The purpose of this research is analyzing the production system of a company that has been assessed as weak, such as waste, so that researcher can give the recommendation to improve the production system as to be more effective and efficient by implementing lean production based on just-in-time requirement. This writing is a case of study in PT. Anugerah Putra Siantan which specialize in the manufacturing industry and this research is only applicable for PT. Anugrah Putra Siantan. The technique used in analyzing the data is the comparative method, that is comparing two theories about the principle of lean production based on the just-intime model, and the factual execution of the production system in the company. The technique used for data gathering has been executed by the mean of an interview, observation, and documentation. From the result of this research, it can be evaluated that the company has not implemented the use of lean production system entirely, judging by the fact that the researcher still finds some weaknesses, then to give the solution to improve the production system in PT. Anugrah Putra Siantan to be more effective and efficient.
