Abstract
Lahan yang tersedia semakin sempit untuk digunakan bercocok tanam, sehingga inovasi budidaya pada lahan yang terbatas sangat diperlukan. Pemanfaatan atap rumah menjadi taman akan membuat rumah menjadi produktif karena mampu menghasilkan berbagai macam sayur dan buah sehingga dapat memenuhi gizi keluarga. Selain itu, keuntungan dari rooftop gardening menurut Apsari (2007), yaitu dapat menurunkan suhu di dalam dan disekitar bangunan serta memberikan keindahan visual. Penanaman tanaman roof garden dengan sistem tumpangsari diharapkan mampu memberikan hasil yang optimal meskipun berada pada lahan yang relatif sempit. Salah satu sayuran yang banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat Indonesia adalah cabai. Cabai (Capsicum frutescens L.) memiliki potensi yang baik untuk dikembangkan karena memiliki peran penting sebagai makanan yang bergizi. Demikian juga dengan jagung manis, okra, kacang hijau, kangkung dan sawi yang banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat guna memenuhi gizi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai pada berbagai ragam tanaman sela dalam sistem roof garden. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah keragaman tanaman sela dalam sistem roof garden akan meningkatkan bobot konsumsi per satuan luas. Penelitian dilaksanakan di rooftop Gedung Sentral lantai enam Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya, Kota Malang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April – Agustus 2018. Metode yang digunakan ialah Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 6 perlakuan, yaitu K1:cabai rawit, K2:cabai rawit + jagung manis, K3:cabai rawit + jagung manis + okra, K4:cabai rawit + jagung manis + okra + kacang hijau, K5:cabai rawit + jagung manis + okra + kacang hijau + kangkung. K6:cabai rawit + jagung manis + okra + kacang hijau + kangkung + sawi. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Pengamatan meliputi 1) pengamatan non destruktif: tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, jumlah cabang, waktu munculnya bunga dan jumlah buah 2) pengamatan panen: bobot basah dan bobot kering total tanaman serta bobot basah dan bobot kering buah dan 3) pengamatan pendukung: bobot konsumsi total tanaman, NKL dan EKE. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan ANOVA dengan uji lanjut BNT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan keragaman tanaman sela pada tumpangsari cabai berpengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter yang diamati meliputi pengamatan non destruktif, panen dan pengamatan pendukung. Dari hasil juga didapatkan bahwa penambahan jenis dan jumlah tanaman sela mampu menurunkan pertumbuhan dan hasil dari tanaman cabai, akan tetapi meningkatkan bobot konsumsi total tanaman per satuan luas. Bobot konsumsi paling tinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan tumpangsari cabai rawit + jagung manis + okra + kacang hijau + kangkung + sawi yaitu sebesar 1654,31 g 0,4m-2.
English Abstract
Food security is currently the most important issue because no one can survive without food. However, the available land is narrower to use for cultivation. So that the cultivation innovation on limited land is needed. Utilization of the roof of the house into a garden will make the house productive because it is able to produce various kinds of vegetables and fruits that can give the family nutrition. In addition, the advantages of rooftop gardening according to Kuhn (1995), which is to increase the active space, reduce the water of buildings due to rainfall, and add the aesthetic value of a building. The planting of roof garden plant with intercropping system is expected to give optimal result even though it is on relatively narrow land. One of the many vegetables consumed by Indonesian people is chili. Chili (Capsicum frutescens L.) has a good potential to develop because it has an important role as a nutritious food. Similarly, sweet corn, okra, green beans, kale and mustard are widely consumed by the community to meet the nutrients. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of growth and yield chili on diversity of interplanetary in roof garden system. The hypothesis of this research is the diversity of intercropping plants on the roof garden will increase the weight of consumption per unit areas. The research is conducted in rooftop of the sixth floor building of Agriculture Faculty, University of Brawijaya, Malang. The research was conducted on April - August 2018. The method used is the Randomized Block Design with 6 treatments, namely K1: chili, K2: Chili + sweet corn, K3: Chili + sweet corn + okra, K4: Chili + sweet corn + okra + green beans, K5: chili + sweet corn + okra + mung beans + kale. K6: Chili + sweet corn + okra + mung beans + kale + mustard greens. Each treatment was repeated 4 times. Observations consist of 1) non destructive observation: plant height, number of leaves, leaf area per plant, number of branches, during flowering and total fruit count 2) yield obervation: total wet weight and total dry of the plant (g), the total fruit wet weight and total dried fruit weight (g) and 3) additional parameters: total weight of consumption plant The result of observation total dried fruit will be analyze with ANOVA and then further test if there is real effect using BNT test at 5% level. The results showed that the treatment of the diversity of intercropping chili significantly affected to the all of parameters observed. From the results it was also found that the addition of types and numbers of intercrops was able to reduce the growth and yield of chili, but increased the total consumption weight of plants per unit area. The highest consumption weight was obtained in K6 treatment which was 1654,31 g 0,4m-2.
