Abstract
Sampahmerupakanmasalahklasik yang dialamiolehnegaramajumaupunberkembang.Masalahsampahsebenarnyaberjalansei ringdengankebudayaanmasyarakatitusendiri.Semakinberkembangnyazamansertadi ikutidenganperkembanganteknologidanindustri, makasemakinbanyak pula produk yang dapatdiperolehsehinggasampah yang dihasilkansemakinbanyak pula.Di negaraberkembangseperti Indonesia sangatperluadanyaperhatiankhususmengenaipembuangansampah, pasalnyaperilakumasyarakat yang kurangpedulimengenailingkunganmengakibatkanmasalahsampahsemakinserius.Pe rmasalahansampahsangatkompleks.sampahsangatmenganggupandanganmatasehin ggadapatmemunculkanperasaan yang tidakestetikdanmenjijikan. Selainitubaiksampahorganikmaupunanorganikdapatmenimbulkanpenyakitapabila ditimbunterlalu lama.Penanganansampahsangatdiperlukangunauntukmengurangitimbunansampah yaknidenganmengubahpolapikirterhadapsampah yang lama yaitukumpul-angkutbuangmenjadipolapikirbaruyaknimemilahdanmengolahsampahterlebihdahulu, olehkarenaituperluadanyaperan-peranmasyarakatdalampenanganansampah. Rose Community Care (RCC) merupakansalahsatukelompokperempuanpecintalingkungan, kesehatansertaperlindunganperempuandananak yang berada di Kabupaten Gresik. pada bidang lingkungan komunitas ini berperan sebagai penggerak dalam pengelolaan sampah seperti penanamanhortikultura, dekomposter, danmembuatkerajianantangandalamupayapengurangansampahanorganik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) MedeskripsikanperankelompokperempuanRose Community Caredalammenanganipengelolaansampahorganikdananorganik yang berada di KelurahanGending, 2) Mendeskripsikan tingkat keberhasilan yang ditimbulkan oleh peran kelompok perempuan Rose Community Care dalam menangani pengelolaan sampah, 3) Menganalisis hubungan peran kelompok Rose Community Care terhadap tingkat keberhasilan pengelolaan sampah dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi rank spearman. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara purposive, dengan pertimbangan bahwa di desa tersebut telah melaksanakan program pengolahan sampah secara organik dan anorganik lebih dari lima tahun, yaitu dimulai pada tahun 2011. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yakni Explanatory Research. Selanjutnya penelitian ini menggunakan analisis korelasi Rank Spearman dengan menghitung hubungan peran kelompok wanita Rose Community Care dengan tingkat keberhasilan pengelolaan sampah. Hasil penelitian pertama menunjukkan bahwa variabel: (a) peran kelompok perempuan Rose Community Care sebagai edukator dalam kategori “Tinggi” dengan mendapatkan persentase 47,5% dari skor maksimal 25, (b)peranii kelompok perempuan Rose Community Care sebagai fasilitator dalam kategori “Tinggi” dengan mendapatkan persentase 70% dari skor maksimal 10, (c)peran kelompok perempuan Rose Community Care sebagai motivator dalam kategori “Tinggi” dengan mendapatkan persentase 62,5% dari skor maksimal 10, (d)peran kelompok perempuan Rose Community Care sebagai kreator dan inovator dalam kategori “Tinggi” dengan mendapatkan persentase 70% dari skor maksimal 10. Hasil penelitian kedua menunjukkan bahwa variabel: (a)pemahaman dan pemanfaatan pengelolaan sampah organik pada tingkat keberhasilan pengelolaan sampah menunjukkan kategori “Tinggi” dengan persentase 62,5% dari skor tertinggi 10, (b)pemahaman dan pemanfaatan pengelolaan sampah anorganik organik pada tingkat keberhasilan pengelolaan sampah menunjukkan kategori “Tinggi” dengan persentase 70% dari skor tertinggi 10, (c) nilai estetika organik pada tingkat keberhasilan pengelolaan sampah menunjukkan kategori “Tinggi” dengan persentase 62,5% dari skor tertinggi 10 Hasil penelitian ketiga menunjukkan terdapathubunganantaraperankelompokperempuanRose Community Careterhadaptigkatkeberhasilan program yang dijalankannya. English Abstract
Garbage is a classic problem experienced by developed and developing countries. Trash problems actually go hand in hand with the culture of society itself. The more the development of the era and followed by the development of technology and industry, the more products can be obtained so that the waste generated more and more. In developing countries like Indonesia, there is a need for special attention on waste disposal, the article of society's behavior that is less concerned about the environment causes more serious garbage problems. The problem of waste is very complex. garbage is very disturbing the eye so that it can raise feelings that are not aesthetic and disgusting. In addition, both organic and inorganic waste can cause disease if dumped for too long. Therefore, there is a need to change to handle the garbage problem as done in Rose Community Care group located inGendingKebomas Sub-district, Gresik Regency. This study aims to determine the role of Rose Community Care women in waste management as well as the impact of waste management. Rose Community Care (RCC) is one of the groups of women environmentalists, health and protection of women and children residing in Gresik Regency. in the environmental field of this community acts as a driving force in waste management such as horticultural cultivation, decomposter, and make hand crafting in an effort to reduce inorganic waste. The aims of this research are: 1) Describe the role of Rose Community Care group of women in managing organic and inorganic waste in KelurahanGending, 2) Describe the success rate caused by Rose Community Care group role in handling waste management, 3) Analyze the relationship of Rose Community Care's group role to the success rate of waste management by using rank spearman correlation analysis. This research was conducted purposively, with the consideration that in the village has implemented the organic and inorganic waste processing program for more than five years, starting in 2011. The type of research used is Explanatory Research. Furthermore, this research uses Rank Spearman correlation analysis by calculating the relationship of roles of women group Rose Community Care with the success rate of waste management. The results of the first study indicate that the variables: (a) the role of the Rose Community Care women group as educators in the "High" category by obtaining a percentage of 47.5% of the maximum score of 25, (b) the role of the Rose Community Care group as facilitators in the "High "By obtaining the percentage of 70% from the maximum score of 10, (c) the role of the Rose Community Care women group as a motivator in the" High "category by obtaining 62.5% percentage of the maximum score of 10, (d) the role of Rose Community Care women group as creators and innovators in the "High" category by getting a percentage of 70% of a maximum score of 10. The results of the second study indicate that the variables: (a) understanding and utilization of organic waste management on the success rate ofiv waste management showed the category of "High" with the percentage of 62.5% of the highest score 10, (b) understanding and utilization of organic inorganic waste management on the success rate waste management shows the category of "High" with the percentage of 70% of the highest score 10, (c) the value of organic aesthetics on the success rate of waste management showed the category of "High" with a percentage of 62.5% of the highest score 10 The result of the third study shows that there is a relationship between the role of the Rose Community Care women group toward the success level of the program they run. This is because the activities of Rose Community Care community groups have an important role as educators, motivators, facilitators, and innovators so that citizens have a good interest and response and can support the continuation of waste management programs. Waste management is done by the people already can be said successful, it is proven by the existence of the program citizens are aware of the importance of managing waste properly and correctly
