Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh implementasi integrative SCM, supply chain flexibility terhadap daya saing dan kinerja perusahaan. Lebih spesifik bertujuan menguji dan menjelaskan peran daya saing sebagai mediasi hubungan integrative SCM dan supply chain flexibility terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan explanatory. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah population sampling karena jumlah populasi relatif kecil sebesar 44 perusahaan perikanan berskala besar. Responden yang menjadi sampel adalah direksi/manajer perusahaan perikanan. Metode analisis data dalam pengujian hipotesis adalah Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi integrasi internal dan supply chain flexibility dapat meningkatkan keunggulan bersaing dan kinerja perusahaan. Integrasi eksternal dapat meningkatkan keunggulan bersaing, namun pada kinerja perusahaan tidak berpengaruh nyata. Sedangkan keunggulan bersaing yang tinggi dapat meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Selanjutnya keunggulan bersaing yang tinggi dapat terbukti sebagai mediasi hubungan implementasi integrative SCM dan supply chain flexibility terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini dapat memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman bagi para manajer perusahaan perikanan dalam meningkatkan keunggulan bersaing dan kinerja perusahaan melalui implementasi konsep integrative SCM dan supply chain flexibility . Selain itu, menekankan pentingnya integrasi perusahaan yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk berbagi pengetahuan dan informasi, interaksi hubungan, sinergi lintas fungsional, perencanaan terpadu, saling percaya, membangun pemahaman dan tujuan bersama baik secara internal, pada pelanggan dan efektivitas pemasok. Keterbatasan studi ini pada ukuran sampel hanya manajer perusahaan perikanan, sedangkan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi integrative SCM dan supply chain flexibility terhadap keunggulan bersaing dan kinerja perusahaan seharusnya melibatkan para pemasok, pelanggan dan mitra bisnis perusahaan. Orisinalitas penelitian ini memberikan dasar terhadap konfigurasi pengembangan model dan membuktikan model konseptual yang terintegrasi hubungan antara implementasi integrative SCM dan supply chain flexibility terhadap peningkatan keunggulan bersaing dan kinerja perusahaan. Kemudian peran mediasi keunggulan bersaing terbukti mampu meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan.

English Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine and explain the effects of the of integrative SCM and supply chain flexibility implementation on Competitive Advantage and company performance. More specifically, this research aims to test and explain the role of Competitive Advantage as a mediator for the relation between integrative SCM and supply chain flexibility on company performance. The design of this research used is explanatory approach. The data are collected through survey methods and population sampling is used because the population is relatively small at 44 large companies. The respondents as sample are the managers of fishery companies. Three hypotheses are tested through a Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). Results show that implementation of internal integration and supply chain flexibility can increase competitive advantage and fishery company performance. External integration can increase competitive advantage, but without any real effect on company performance. High level of competitive advantage can increase company performance. High level of competitive advantage is also found to be a mediator for the relation of integrative SCM and supply chain flexibility toward company performance. The practical implication of this study is providing knowledge and information for managers in improving the competitive advantage and company performance through the extent of application of integrative SCM and Supply Chain Flexibility concepts. Besides, emphasizes the importance of the firm`s integration to utilize in share knowledge and information, interactive relationships, synergetic crossfunctional team, building a common understanding, integrated planning, mutual trust and determining mutual goal of internal capabilities, customers and suppliers effectively. The limitation of this study is in the size of the sample, where only managers of the fishery company are included, while in order to explore the implementation of integrative SCM and supply chain flexibility on competitive advantage and performance of the company, a research should involve the supplier, consumer and business partners of the company. The originality of this study is that this research serves as the basis for the configuration of developing models and provides a conceptual model which is integrated between integrative SCM and supply chain flexibility implementation toward competitive advantage and company performance. Besides, the mediating role of the competitive advantage is found to be capable of improving company performance.
