Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada kondisi realitas aktivitas CSR yang identik dengan program-program generik CSR, dimana perusahaan selama ini melaksanakan implementasi CSR karena derasnya tekanan-tekanan eksternal, bukan merupakan kesadaran internal perusahaan untuk memberikan kontribusi terhadap perbaikan lingkungan sosial, serta tidak memiliki keterkaitan dengan kegiatan utama dan strategi perusahaan, sehingga tidak memberi kontribusi benefit baik terhadap kinerja maupun keunggulan bersaing perusahaan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan suatu bentuk penelitian untuk mengkaji perilaku pimpinan dalam memformulasi strategi perusahaan yang berorientasi corporate social responsibility (CSR) dalam upaya peningkatan kinerja perusahaan melalui implementasi CSR yang terintegrasi dengan strategi perusahaan, yang berada dalam kawasan Industri Makassar (PT. KIMA). Unit analisis penelitian adalah perusahaan. Responden yang dijadikan sampel sebanyak 81 orang pimpinan level general manager dan pimpinan setingkat manager fungsional perusahaan. Metode analisis yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah Structural Equation Model (SEM) berbasis variance dengan program Partial least Square (PLS). Temuan penelitian ini memberikan implikasi teoritis terhadap dukungan atas penerapan teori triple button line dalam formulasi strategi perusahaan industri untuk meningkatkan orientasi strategi terhadap aspek-spek lingkungan dan sosial. Selain itu teori ini juga mendukung formulasi strategi dalam model peningkatan kinerja keuangan dan kinerja non-keuangan perusahaan dalam konsep balanced scorecard (BSC) yang dimediasi implementasi corporate social responsibility (CSR).

English Abstract

This study is based on the reality on the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity which is identical with CSR generic program in which company does the CSR implementation because of high external pressures not due to its internal awareness to participate in giving contribution to the improvement of social environment, and further it does not have any relationship with the company`s main activity and strategy. As a result, it does not give beneficial contribution toward company`s performance and competitive advantage as well. The focus of this study is to develop a kind of study analyzing the leader behavior in formulating the company strategy which is CSR-oriented as an effort to improve the company performance through the implementation of CSR which is integrated with company`s strategy on the industrial area in Makasar (PT. KIMA). The analysis unit of this study is the company. There are 81 respondents taken as the samples consisting of those having position as general manager and the leaders having the level as company functional manager. The analysis method used to test the hypothesis is Structural Equation Model (SEM) which is based on variance with Partial Least Square (PLS) program. The findings of this study give the theoretical implication supporting the implementation on the theory of triple button line in formulating the industrial company strategy to improve the strategic orientation toward the environmental and social aspects. Besides, this theory also supports the strategic formulation in the effort of improving the company financial performance model and the company non financial performance on the concept of balanced scorecard (BSC) which is mediated by the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
