Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun university governance berdasarkan pada nilai-nilai ketauhidan. Secara teoritis hasil penelitian ini memperkaya teori tentang governance khususnya dalam konteks universitas. Secara praktis hasil penelitan ini dapat menyadarkan pengelola universitas dan mendorong untuk menjadikannya sebagai acuan dalam memperbaiki kualitas university governance. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan riset kritis. Pemikiran kritis Kiri Islam Hassan Hanafi yang menghasilkan rekonstruksi teologi (tauhid) dijadikan sebagai alat analisis. Situs penelitian yang dipilih adalah sebuah universitas swasta di Surabaya dengan beberapa informan kunci dan informan pendukung. Temuan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada tiga model university governance yaitu NPM sebagai model university governance modern, model university governance transisi, dan model university governance dalam dimensi ketauhidan. Ketiga model tersebut masing-masing dimetaforakan sebagai sebuah bangunan. NPM university governance dinyatakan sebagai cara universitas untuk mencapai kemenangan ekonomi yang berlandaskan pada prinsip materialisme serta bertopang pada prinsip efisiensi, efektivitas dan akuntabilitas keuangan. University governance transisi merupakan upaya penyelamatan universitas yang mempunyai tujuan pragmatis dan dibangun di atas pondasi prinsip penyatuan dengan ditopang oleh kekuatan pilar otonomi dan kreatifitas, perubahan serta pertanggungjawaban semu. University governance dalam dimensi ketauhidan merupakan cara universitas untuk mencapai keadilan sebagai manifestasi kualitas Ilahiyah yang berlandaskan pada prinsip kesatuan dan bertopang pada prinsip kebebasan dan pertanggungjawaban, kesejarahan serta kekekalan.
English Abstract
This study aims to reconstruct university governance based on Tawhidi values. The results produce theoretical and practical implications. Theoretically, this study enriches the theory of governance, particularly in the context of university. This study finds an alternative model of university governance built on Tawhid values. Practically this study gives awareness to university managment to improve the quality of their governance. t he methodology used in this study is a qualitative research with critical research approach. Critical research methodology based on critical thinking from Hassan Hanafi, that is known as the Left Islamic [Reconstruction of Theology]. Hanafi makes critiques against modernism and classical Islam thought. The results of this theology reconstruction are used to analyze university governance. The reality of university governance is explored form research site that is a private university in Surabaya. Informants consists of key informants and supporting informants. The results of this study identified three models of university governance that are NPM as a modern model of university governance, existing university governance model (in transition) and model of university governance in the tawhidic dimensions. NPM university governance expressed as a way to achieve university economic victory based on the principle of materiality and relies on the principles of efficiency, effectiveness and financial accountability. Existing university governance (in transition) is the university rescue efforts that have pragmatic purpose and built on foundation of unification principle supported by pillars of autonomy and creativity, change and pseudo accountability. University governance in tawhidic dimensions is a way to achieve university justice as a manifestation of divine quality based on the principle of unity and relied on the principles of freedom and accountability as well as principles of historical and sustainability.
