Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh langsung aset tanwujud ( human capital, organizational capital dan relational capital ) terhadap strategi bersaing dan kinerja keuangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Unit analisis adalah UKM Rotan yang ada di kota Palu, dengan responden pemilik atau manajer UKM rotan sebanyak 38 orang. Pengumpulan data primer menggunakan kuisioner dan wawancara. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa adanya pengaruh langsung antara human capital , organizational capital , dan relational capital terhadap strategi bersaing; organizational capital dan strategi bersaing terhadap kinerja keuangan. Ditemukan pengaruh tidak langsung yang dimediasi oleh strategi bersaing, memberi bukti bahwa integrasi aset tanwujud yakni human capital, organisational capital dan relational capital dapat meningkatkan kinerja keuangan lebih tinggi bila dimediasi oleh strategi bersaing. Model integrasi aset tanwujud dengan mengembangkan teori RBV dapat memberikan informasi investasi aset tanwujud pada UKM. Strategi bersaing menjadi strategi pilihan yang tepat untuk mengatasi masalah UKM. Pengukuran kinerja keuangan menggunakan penilaian persepsi responden, merupakan pengembangan pengukuran kinerja keuangan yang aktual pada UKM.

English Abstract

This study was aimed at testing and analyzing direct effects of intangible assets (human capital, organizational capital, and relational capital) towards competitive strategy and financial performance. This study implemented survey as the research method involving 38 owners or managers of rattan SMEs in Palu. The primary data had been collected by questionnaires and interviews. This research, furthermore, utilized Partial Least Square (PLS) as data analysis technique. The study showed that there were direct effects of human capital, organizational capital, and relational capital towards the competitive strategy. In addition, there were direct effects of organizational capital and competitive strategy towards financial performance. This study also found that there was an indirect effect mediated by competitive strategy, which could be evidence that such intangible assets integration as human capital, organizational capital, and relational capital could improve higher performance when it was mediated by competitive strategy. Intangible assets integration model, which had been developed based on the theory of RBV, could provide any information about investments in intangible assets of SMEs. Competitive strategy, therefore, had been proven the right choice of strategy to overcome the problem of SMEs. Moreover, measurement of financial performance using the assessment of respondents` perception was the development of the actual financial performance measurement in SMEs.
