Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami implementasi Corporate Social Responsibility yang dilandasi oleh kekhasan budaya Bali, yaitu budaya Tri Hita Karana. Metode etnografi digunakan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lebih mendalam dan utuh yang berasal dari sudut pandang para informan, baik informan internal hotel maupuan informan eksternal hotel, mengenai nilai-nilai, kebiasaan, dan kekhasan implementasi Corporate Social Responsibility berlandaskan budaya Tri Hita Karana di Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel. Hasil penelitian menemukan suatu pemahaman baru mengenai pelaksanaan Corporate Social Responsibility yang disebut “CSR Terpadu (Integrated of CSR)”. CSR Terpadu (Integrated of CSR) memiliki arti “usaha perusahaan dalam menjalankan kegiatan bisnisnya secara lebih terpadu (terintegrasi), baik antara tujuan perusahaan sebagai usaha bisnis, keharmonisan hubungan dengan masyarakat dan alam, serta keyakinan perusahaan kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa sebagai pencipta segala-Nya di dunia ini”. Pemahaman CSR Terpadu (Integrated of CSR)dapat dikatakan sebagai salah satu bentuk perkembangan konsep CSR yang seiring kemajuan jaman semakin membutuhkan nilai-nilai spiritual (berkaitan dengan nilai Ketuhanan) sebagai landasan kuat untuk menjalankan kegiatan bisnis yang lebih kondusif, nyaman, dan tidak mendatangkan kerugian bagi pihak-pihak tertentu. CSR Terpadu (Integrated of CSR) menghasilkan empat bentuk implementasi yang saling bersinergi dan memiliki kaitan satu sama lain, yaitu implementasi di perusahaan (corporate), di masyarakat (community), di lingkungan (environment), dan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan Tuhan (God).

English Abstract

This study aims to identify and to understand implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which is based on distinctiveness of Balinese culture, i.e. cultural values of Tri Hita Karana. ethnographic methods were used to obtain deeper and complete information from standpoints of informants, both internal and external hotel informants, about values, habits, and distinctiveness of implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility based on cultural values of Tri Hita Karana at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel. research results found a new understanding of implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility which is called Integrated of CSR. Integrated of CSR has a sense that company as a business group in carrying out its activities always has a harmonious relationship with community and nature, as well as to respect and serve to almighty God. understanding of Integrated of CSR can be said as one of developments of concept of CSR in line with advancement of age which increasingly requires spiritual values (related to value of divinity) as a strong foundation for running business activities that is more conducive, comfortable, and does not cause harm to any party. Integrated of CSR produces four forms of implementation which are synergic and related to each o r, namely of implementation in corporate, in community, in environment, and matters relating to God.
