Abstract

Saat ini entitas bisnis di segala bidang dituntut untuk tidak hanya fokus pada aspek keuangan ( single bottom line ), melainkan juga memperhatikan aspek sosial dan lingkungan ( triple bottom line ). Sinergi dari ketiga aspek ini akan membentuk konsep pembangunan yang berkelanjutan ( sustainable development ), yang merupakan tujuan akhir perusahaan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi empiris yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pelaksanaan Corporate Social Responsibilty (CSR) terhadap firm reputation , financial performance , dan employee turnover pada sektor perbankan umum di Kota Malang. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi manajerial mengenai bagaimana perbankan melaksanakan CSR untuk meningkatkan firm reputation , financial performance (profitabilitas), dan menurunkan employee turnover . Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh perbankan umum yang memiliki cabang di Kota Malang, baik yang menjalankan fungsinya secara konvensional ataupun berdasarkan prinsip syariah, yang berjumlah 35 bank umum. Data jawaban dari responden tersebut dianalisis kesesuaiannya dengan model penelitian yang dikembangkan dari teori-teori dan penelitian terdahulu menggunakan metode analisis Partial Least Square (PLS). Dari hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa CSR berpengaruh terhadap firm reputation. CSR juga terbukti berpengaruh terhadap employee turnover melalui peran mediasi firm reputation , namun CSR tidak terbukti berpengaruh terhadap financial performance baik secara langsung maupun melalui peran mediasi firm reputation . Perusahaan yang melaksanakan CSR secara strategis dan berkesinambungan terbukti mendapatkan manfaat yang lebih baik, yakni tingkat employee turnover yang lebih rendah, firm reputation yang lebih baik, dan financial performance (profitabilitas) yang lebih tinggi.

English Abstract

Nowadays, business entities in all fields are required to not only focus on financial aspect (single bottom line), but also pay attention to social and environmental aspects (triple bottom line). synergy of se three aspects will form concept of sustainable development, which becomes ultimate goal of company. This study is an empirical study aimed to analyze influence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on firm reputation, financial performance and employee turnover in commercial banks in Malang. This research provides managerial implications about how commercial banks implement CSR to enhance firm reputation, financial performance (profitability), and reduce employee turnover. Research population included entire commercial banks, which performed ir functions based on conventional or sharia, and had a branch in Malang. Total population in this study amounted to 35 banks. Data that collected from respondents were analyzed for compliance with research model developed from ories and previous researches by using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. data analysis gave evidence that CSR affected firm reputation. CSR also affected employee turnover through mediating role of firm reputation, but CSR did not affect financial performance (profitability), both directly and through mediating role of firm reputation. Companies that has implemented CSR as ir business strategy and continuously has improved ir performance, such as lower employee turnover rate, better firm reputation, and higher financial performance (profitability).
