Abstract

Reaksi antara Zn(OAc) 2 .2H 2 O dan ligan 2-aminobenzothiazole menghasilkan struktur kristal [Zn(C 7 H 6 N 2 S) 2 (CH 3 COO) 2 ]. Senyawa kompleks tersebut menunjukkan struktur mononuclear, di mana atom Zn(II) terkoordinasi oleh dua atom nitrogen dari ligan 2-aminobenzothiazole dan dua atom oksigen dari anion asetat, yang terdistorsi dalam geometri tetrahedral. Selain itu, struktur kristal dari (C 5 H 6 BrN 2 ) [ZnCl 3 (C 5 H 5 BrN 2 )] diperoleh melalui reaksi antara ZnCl 2 dan ligan 2-amino-5-bromopyridine. Atom Zn dalam kompleks anion [ZnCl 3 (C 5 H 5 BrN 2 )] - terkoordinasi oleh tiga atom Cl dan satu imine atom N dari ligan 2-amino-5-bromopyridine, yang terdistorsi dalam geometri tetrahedral. Sedangkan pyridine atom N dari ligan 2-amino-5-bromopyridine terprotonasi. Struktur dari senyawa-senyawa kompleks tersebut juga dikarakterisasi melalui analisis unsur, IR, 1 H NMR dan 13 C NMR spektroskopi. Di samping itu, absorpsi UV-Visible dan sifat elektrokimia dari ligan-ligan beserta senyawa-senyawa kompleks Zn(II) juga diidentifikasi dan dipelajari.

English Abstract

The reaction between Zn(OAc) 2 .2H 2 O and the corresponding 2-aminobenzothiazole ligand yielded a crystal structure of [Zn(C 7 H 6 N 2 S) 2 (CH 3 COO) 2 ]. The complex shows a mononuclear structure, whereas the Zn(II) atom is coordinated by two nitrogen atoms of 2-aminobenzothiazole ligands and two oxygen atoms of the acetate anions, within a distorted tetrahedral coordination environment. The crystal structure of (C 5 H 6 BrN 2 ) [ZnCl 3 (C 5 H 5 BrN 2 )] was obtained by the reaction of ZnCl 2 with 2-amino-5-bromopyridine ligand. The Zn(II) atom in the [ZnCl 3 (C 5 H 5 BrN 2 )] - complex anion is coordinated by three Cl atoms and one imine N-atom of 2-amino-5-bromopyridine ligand, make the geometry distorted tetrahedral. In addition, the pyridine N-atom of 2-amino-5-bromopyridine ligand is protonated. The structures of these complexes were also characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR techniques. Furthermore, the UV-Visible absorption and the electrochemical behaviour of the ligands and its zinc(II) complexes were also investigated and studied.
