Abstract

Pemikiran dan Tujuan: Pertama-tama, berdasarkan ayat (Ayah) `ل و اوقلت مكيديأب ىلإ ةكلهتلا` yang berarti [`Jangan melemparkan dirimu dengan tanganmu ke kehancuran`] (Surah al-Baqara, ayat 195 ). Oleh karena itu, selama ada cara dan yayasan untuk melindungi diri dari radiasi maka harus diperhitungkan dengan tajam dan melakukan yang terbaik untuk itu. Kedua, karena perlindungan radiasi sama pentingnya dengan paparan radiasi dan juga CT Scanner mengeluarkan sejumlah besar radiasi yang dibandingkan dengan x-ray dan radiasi konvensional memiliki efek biologis negatif pada organisme hidup yang dapat menyebabkan sel-sel kanker. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini datang untuk menjelaskan perlindungan radiasi dan bertujuan untuk menilai kesadaran & pengetahuan para profesional radiologi dan bagaimana mereka mempengaruhi perlindungan di departemen radiologi di unit CT. Bahan dan Metode: Kuesioner diterapkan pada profesional radiologi yang bekerja di departemen radiologi di unit CT. Dalam penelitian ini kelompok sasaran adalah `para teknolog, fisikawan dan ahli radiologi yang telah diminta untuk mengisi kuesioner yang terdiri dari penilaian dan pengetahuan aktual mereka tentang radiasi pengion dan perlindungannya. Semua pertanyaan berada dalam format pilihan ganda menggunakan skala likert mulai dari 1 hingga 4. Kemudian, data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan paket statistik untuk ilmu sosial (SPSS) dan perangkat lunak parsial least square (PLS). Hasil: Dalam penelitian ini 102 peserta telah mengambil bagian. Tingkat kesadaran dan pengetahuan mereka tentang perlindungan radiasi dan dosis radiasi dan efek samping ditemukan antara yang cukup baik dan baik secara keseluruhan. Namun, efek tinggi terbukti muncul antara kesadaran & pengetahuan dan perlindungan dalam penelitian ini. Sampel responden termasuk `radiografi radiografi`, fisikawan dan radiologi dengan persentase masing-masing 69,6%, 2,0% dan 28,4%. Namun, persentase fisikawan terlalu rendah, yang dapat memahami bahwa rumah sakit tidak memiliki orang-orang penting ini dan mayoritas rumah sakit tertutup tidak memiliki seperti sama sekali. Selain itu, berdasarkan karier utama mereka sebagai salah satu klasifikasi yang paling menonjol VII dalam kuesioner hasil telah menunjukkan apakah itu berdampak pada kesadaran dan pengetahuan perlindungan radiasi secara umum atau tidak. Jadi, sebagian besar kategori sebenarnya baik atau cukup baik dalam semua tingkat level. Metode statistik menganalisis menunjukkan bahwa semua hipotesis didukung dengan nilai t-statistik lebih besar dari 1,96 dengan tingkat kesalahan α = 5%. Secara umum, menganalisis penelitian ini secara rinci, mengejutkan bahwa pengetahuan dan kesadaran tentang perlindungan radiasi dan keselamatan di antara para peserta antara tingkat moderat dan sangat baik. Di sisi lain, anehnya ada beberapa dari mereka yang tidak tahu bahwa radiasi pengion tidak digunakan di MRI dan AS. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini telah menggambarkan bahwa penilaian dan pengetahuan umum terkait radiasi pengion, perlindungannya, dosis radiasi dan efek sampingnya cukup di antara unit CT kelompok sasaran. Hasilnya menyoroti sebagian besar peserta memiliki kursus dan dipelajari dalam kurikulum selama studi mereka tentang perlindungan radiasi dan mereka mematuhi protokol perlindungan radiasi di rumah sakit. Akhirnya, dari temuan dapat dicatat bahwa perlindungan berada dalam hubungan linear dengan kesadaran umum & pengetahuan, pengetahuan tentang dosis radiasi dan pengetahuan tentang efek samping.

English Abstract

Rationale and Objective: first of all, based on the verse (ayah) “ َ ل َ و اوُقْلُت ْ مُكيِدْيَأِب ىَلِإ ِةَكُلْهَّتلا ” which means [“Do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction”] (Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 195). Hence, as long as there are ways and foundations to protect ourselves from radiation then it must be pointedly taken into account and do the best for that. Second, since radiation protection is as important as radiation exposure and also CT scanner emits an extremely large amount of radiation comparing to the conventional x-ray and radiation has negative biological effects on living organisms which may lead to cancerous cells. Therefore, this study comes to shed a light on radiation protection and aims to assess the awareness & knowledge of radiology professionals and how they influence on the protection at radiology departments in CT units. Materials and Methods: questionnaire was applied to radiology professionals who work at radiology department in CT unit. In this study target groups were “technologists, physicists and radiologists who had been asked to fill in the questionnaire consisting of their actual assessment and knowledge on ionizing radiation and its protection. All questions were in multiple choice formats using Likert scale ranging from 1 to 4. Then, the obtained data were analyzed with Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Partial Least Square (PLS) softwares. Results: in this study 102 participants had taken part. Their level of awareness and knowledge about radiation protection and radiation doses and side effects were found to be between fairly good and good overall. However, the high effect was evidently appeared between Awareness & knowledge and Protection in present study. The respondents sample included technologist “radiographer”, physicist and radiologist with percentages 69.6%, 2.0% and 28.4% respectively. However, the percentage of physicist was too low, which can understand that the hospitals lack these important people and the majority of covered hospitals do not have such as at all. In addition, based on their main Career as one of the most notable classifications vii in the questionnaire the results have shown whether it impact on the Awareness and Knowledge of radiation protection in general or not. So, the majority of categories were in fact either good or fairly good within all level degree too. The statistical methods analyzing show that all hypotheses were supported with value of t-statistics greater than 1.96 with error level α = 5%. Generally, analyzing the present study in details, it is surprising that the knowledge and awareness on radiation protection and safety among the participants were between a moderate and excellent level. On the other hand, strangely there were few of them who did not know that ionizing radiation is not used in MRI and US. Conclusion: The present study has illustrated that general assessment and knowledge related to ionizing radiation, its protection, radiation doses and side effects are sufficient among target groups CT units. The results highlight the majority of participants have had courses and studied in curriculum during their study about radiation protection and they comply to radiation protection protocol in hospitals. Finally, from findings it can be noted that protection is in a linear relationship with general awareness & knowledge, knowledge about radiation doses and knowledge about side effects.
