Abstract
Pada tahun 1996, Andrijević memperkenalkan suatu gagasan baru yang masih berkaitan dengan himpunan buka yaitu himpunan gb-terbuka. Gagasan baru Andrijević inilah yang menarik beberapa matematikawan lain untuk meneliti lebih lanjut tentang himpunan-himpunan. Pada tahun 2011 Benchalli dan Bansali membahas ruang topologi yang -kompak dan gb-terhubung. Pada skripsi ini, merujuk dari artikel Benchalli dan Bansali, dibahas definisi, sifat, dan teorema gb-kompak dalam ruang topologi. Dari sifat dan teorema yang ada, ditunjukkan hubungan antara gb-kompak dan kompak dalam ruang topologi. Jika suatu ruang topologi gb-kompak, maka ruang topologi tersebut juga merupakan kompak, tetapi tidak berlaku sebaliknya.
English Abstract
In 1996, Andrijević introduced gb-open set as a new idea that still relevant to the open set. Andrijević’s new idea attract many of mathematician to do further research about the generalized form of sets. In 2011, Benchalli and Bansali wrote a paper about gb-compactness and gb-connectedness topological spaces. This final project, referring to Benchalli and Bansali’s paper, discussed definitions, properties, and theorems of gb-compactness in topological spaces. According to the properties and theorems, the existence of relationship between gb-compact and compact in topological spaces can be showed. If a topological space is gb-compact then it is compact, but not the other way around.
