Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang karakterisasi elektroda selektif ion (ESI) timbal (II) tipe kawat terlapis berbasis S-methyl N- (methylcarbamoyloxy) thioacetimidate. ESI timbal (II) yang telah dibuat merupakan tipe kawat terlapis yang menggunakan kawat platina (Pt) sebagai konduktor elektronik. Membran yang terlapis pada kawat mempunyai komposisi S-methyl N- (methylcarbamoyloxy) thioacetimidate sebagai bahan aktif, polivinilklorida (PVC) sebagai matriks polimer dan dioktilftalat (DOP) sebagai pemlastis dengan perbandingan 17 : 17 : 66 (% b/b) yang dilarutkan dalam pelarut tetrahidrofuran (THF) dengan perbandingan 1 : 1,5 (b/v). Karakterisasi dasar ESI timbal (II) tipe kawat terlapis yang dipelajari meliputi harga faktor Nernst, rentang konsentrasi linier, batas deteksi, waktu respon dan usia pemakaian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ESI timbal (II) tipe kawat terlapis berbasis S-methyl N-(methylcarbamoyloxy) thioacetimidate yang telah dibuat cukup Nernstian dengan harga faktor Nernst 29,2 mV/dekade konsentrasi, rentang konsentrasi linier 10-1 ? 10-5 M, batas deteksi 1,185x10-5 M atau setara dengan 2,453 ppm timbal, waktu respon 60 detik dan usia pemakaian selama 73 hari.

English Abstract

Characterization of coated wire lead (II) ion selective electrode (ISE) based on S-methyl N-(methylcarbamoyloxy) thioacetimidate have been investigated. ESI lead (II) which have been made is the type of coated wire that uses a platinum wire (Pt) as an electronic conductor. Membrane coated on the wire has a composition S-methyl N-(methylcarbamoyloxy) thioacetimidate as the active ingredient, polyvinylchloride (PVC) as the polymer matrix and dioktilftalat (DOP) as a plasticizer with a ratio 17 : 17: 66 (% w/w) which dissolved in the tetrahydrofuran (THF) with a ratio of 1: 1.5 (w/v). Basic characterization of ISE lead (II) coated wire were studied include the Nernst factor, linier concentration range, detection limit, respon time and life time. The results showed that coated wire lead (II) ion selective electrode (ISE) based on S-methyl N-(methylcarbamoyloxy) thioacetimidate showed Nernstian were character with Nernst factor of 29.2 mV/decade concentration, linear concentration range of 10-1 ? 10-5 M, the detection limit of 1.185x10-5 M (2.453 ppm lead), response time of 60 seconds and life time for 73 days.
