Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kualitas fisiko-kimia dan struktur komunitas makroinvertebrata bentos serta bentuk interaksi keduanya di air saluran irigasi pertanian organik dan anorganik Desa Sumber Ngepoh Kecamatan Lawang. Sampel air diambil ± 500 ml dan makroinvertebrata bentos diambil ± 100 individu/stasiun dengan Jaring Surber dan atau saringan pada tujuh stasiun. Parameter fisiko-kimia yang diukur meliputi pH, DO, konduktivitas, suhu, lebar saluran, kedalaman, kecerahan, kecepatan arus, TDS, TSS, nitrat, fosfat terlarut, TOM, turbiditas dan alkalinitas. Perbedaan kualitas air antar lokasi dianalisis dengan ANOVA yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey HSD atau Games Howell menggunakan Program SPSS 16.00. Profil struktur komunitas makroinvertebrata bentos dilihat dari Indeks Nilai Penting(INP), Indeks Diversitas (Hi), Family Biotic Index (FBI) dan Hilsenhoff Biotic Index (HBI). Interaksi antar variabel ditentukan dengan membuat Model Regresi Berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas fisik kimia dan biologi air irigasi pertanian organik lebih baik dibandingkan pertanian anorganik. Jumlah taksa makroinvertebrata bentos pada air saluran irigasi pertanian organik lebih tinggi (16-17 taksa) dibandingkan pertanian anorganik (4-14 taksa). Pencemaran bahan organik air saluran irigasi pertanian anorganik lebih tinggi dibandingkan pertanian organik, tercermin dari Hi, FBI dan HBI. Berdasarkan Indeks Morisita, tingkat kesamaan struktur komunitas makroinvertebrata bentos air saluran irigasi pertanian organik dan anorganik adalah <54%. Terdapat interaksi antara beberapa faktor fisiko-kimia air (TDS, temperature, phosphate, TOM, nitrate, conductivity and alkalinity) dengan kelimpahan beberapa jenis makroinvertebrata bentos dominan yang ditemukan.

English Abstract

The aims of this research are to determine the profile of physico-chemical water quality, benthic macroinvertebrate community, and interaction of both in irrigation water drains at organic and conventional farming located in Sumber Ngepoh Village Lawang. The sample of water (± 500 ml) and benthic macroinvertebrates which collected by Surber Net (± 100 individual/station) was taken at seven station. Measurement of water quality included pH, DO, conductivity, temperatur, drain wide, drain depth, secchi depth, stream flow, TDS, TSS, nitrate, phosphate, TOM, turbidity and alkalinity was done at seven stations. The differences of water quality between sites were analyzed by ANOVA followed by Tukey HSD or Games Howell Test using SPSS 16.00 Program. Benthic macroinvertebrate profile was determined by calculated the Important Value (IV), Diversity Index (Hi), Family Biotic Index (FBI) and Hilsenhoff Biotic Index(HBI). Interaction among variables was determined by Multiple Regression Models. Results of this research showed that the quality of water irrigation drains at organic farming was better than conventional farming. Number of benthic macroinvertebrates taxa in water irrigation drains at organic farming was higher (16-17 taxas) than conventional farming (4-14 taxas). Contamination of organic matter in water irrigation drains at conventional farming was higher than organic farming. It can be seen from the value of Hi, FBI and HBI. Based on Morisita’s Index, the similarity of benthic macroinvertebrate community between water irrigation drains at organic and conventional farming was less than 54%. There were interactions among some physico-chemical water quality (TDS, temperature, phosphate, TOM, nitrate, conductivity and alkalinity) with some species of benthic macroinvertebrate were found.
