Abstract

Kota Pasuruan merupakan salah satu sentra mebel di Jawa Timur. Banyaknya industri mebel di Pasuruan membuat masing - masingi industri saling bersaing, agar bisa bertahan di pasar. Salah satu UMKM yang ikut serta dalam persaingan mebel adalah UMKM Tunggal Jaya. Dalam menghadapi persaingan yang semakin ketat, maka UMKM Tunggal Jaya memerlukan strategi pengembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui formulasi strategi di UMKM Tunggal Jaya dan menentukan prioritas strategi dalam pengembangan produk mebel UMKM Tungga Jaya di Kota Pasuruan. Metode yang dapat digunakan dalam memformulasi strategi pengembangan adalah Analisis SWOT. Analisis SWOT digunakan untuk memperoleh beberapa alternatif strategi yang saling memiliki keterkaitan antar alternatif. Namun alternatif yang diperoleh perlu dispesifikkan untuk mengetahui proiritas strategi yang dipilih. Salah satu cara untuk mendapatkan strategi yang diinginkan yaitu dengan cara membobotkan pilihan alternatif, pembobotan dilakukan karena tingkat kepentingan tiap alternatif berbeda. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut metode yang cocok digunakan yaitu metode QSPM. Metode QSPM adalah suatu alat untuk melakukan evaluasi pilihan alternatif secara objektif, menetapkan daya tarik relatif dari tindakan alternatif yang layak dan memutuskan strategi mana yang terbaik. xvi Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan bahwa nilai matriks Internal Factor Evaluation adalah 2,711 dan nilai matriks Eksternal Factor Evaluation adalah 2,482. Analisa posisi UMKM dengan menggunakan matriks Internal Eksternal didapatkan bahwa UMKM Tunggal Jaya berada pada sel V yang menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang dapat diterapkan yaitu penetrasi pasar dan pengembangan produk. Berdasarkan matriks SWOT didapatkan delapan alternatif strategi khusus. Prioritas strategi didapatkan dengan menggunakan matriks QSPM untuk mendapatkan nilai Total Attractive Score (TAS). Strategi dengan nilai TAS terbesar merupakan strategi prioritas, urutan strategi tersebut antara lain meningkatkan kualitas produksi yang lebih baik (6,731), memberikan diskon/bonus bagi pelanggan tetap (6,362), mengembangkan inovasi produk sesuai gaya hidup masyarakat saat ini (6,011), memanfaatkan sistem informasi dalam meningkatkan strategi pemasaran (5,723), meminta pemerintah untuk terus memberikan pelatihan dan sumber permodalan (5,640), perlunya ide baru untuk area perluasan produk dengan mengedepankan keunggulan-keungulan produk yang dimiliki (5,542), memanfaatkan lokasi dengan mengembangkan penjualan produk (5,012), mengembangkan teknologi yang lebih modern (4,409).

English Abstract

Pasuruan city is one of furniture production center in East Java. The large number of furniture industry in Pasuruan has encouraged them to compete against each other in order to survive in the market. One of the SMEs participating in the tight competition was furniture SMEs Tunggal Jaya. To face the increasingly fierce competition, the SME Tunggal Jaya required a development strategy . This study aimed to determine the formulation of strategies in SMEs Tunggal Jaya and determine the strategy priorities in the development of SMEs Tunggal Jaya furniture products in Pasuruan. The method to be used in formulating development strategy was SWOT analysis. SWOT Analysis was used to obtain several alternative strategies that were interconnected between alternatives. However, the alternatives obtained need to be specified to determine the priority strategy selected. One of methods to get the desired strategy was by weighting the alternative options. Weighting was performed because importance level of each alternative was different. Under these conditions the suitable method used was QSPM method. QSPM method was a tool to evaluate alternative options objectively, determine the relative attractiveness of appropriate alternative actions and decide which strategy was the best. Based on result of this research, it was found that the Internal matrix value of Factor Evaluation was 2.711 and External matrix value of Factor Evaluation matrix was 2.482. Analysis of SMEs position using External Internal matrix xvi showed that SMEs Tunggal Jaya was placed in V cells which indicate that the strategies to be applied were market penetration and product development. Based on the SWOT matrix eight special strategic alternatives was obtained. Priority strategy was obtained by using QSPM matrix to get Total Attractive Score (TAS) value. Strategy with the biggest TAS value was a priority strategy, the order of the strategy include improving quality of better production (6,731), gives a discount / bonus for loyal customers (6,362), develop innovative products according to the lifestyle of todays society (6,011), utilize information system to improve marketing strategy (5,723), ask the government to continuously provide training and capital resources (5,640), the need for new ideas for product expansion by promoting competitive advantage of products itself (5,542), take advantage of the location by developing product sales (5,012) , develop more modern technology (4,409).
