Abstract

Rendemen tebu saat ini ditetapkan bukan berdasarkan perhitungan hasil akhir gula dibagi jumlah tebu, namun berdasarkan perhitungan rendemen sementara (RS). Penetapan rendemen tebu tersebut dirasa belum akurat dan belum transparan. Pengukurannya tidak menghasilkan angka yang langsung dapat menunjukkan rendemen tebu. Dengan kelemahan tersebut, perlu dikembangkan pengukuran rendemen tebu yang lebih mudah, praktis, dan cepat. Peluang tersebut adalah pengukuran rendemen berbasis sifat biolistrik dengan metode dielektrik. Masalahnya adalah belum terstandarnya teknik persiapan sampel. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan panjang tebu standar, frekuensi terbaik yang paling tidak dipengaruhi oleh variasi suhu dan pengaruh suhu pada pengukuran sifat biolistrik, serta korelasi sifat biolistrik terhadap nilai rendemen. Penelitian pendahuluan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) 2 faktor yaitu faktor I (panjang tebu) terdiri dari 7 level (1, 1,5, 2, 2,5, 3, 4, 5 cm) dan faktor II (frekuensi) terdiri dari 5 level (100, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 Hz) sehingga diperoleh 35 kombinasi perlakuan dengan 1 kali ulangan. Penelitian utama menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 2 faktor yaitu faktor I (frekuensi) terdiri dari 7 level (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 750, 1000 Hz) dan faktor II (suhu) terdiri dari 4 level (20, 25, 30, 35 0C) sehingga diperoleh 28 kombinasi perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan ukuran panjang tebu 3 cm. Frekuensi terbaik 1000 Hz dan tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh variasi suhu terhadap pengukuran sifat biolistrik. Sifat biolistrik yang berkorelasi signifikan terhadap nilai rendemen adalah kapasitansi. Sifat biolistrik tersebut akan digunakan sebagai parameter pengukuran cepat rendemen tebu.

English Abstract

The yield of sugarcane is not currently set based on calculation of sugar final result divided by the quantity of sugarcane, but based on the calculation of the first yield (RS). Determination of the yield of sugarcane seems still not accurate and not transparent. The measurement does not produce numbers that can show the yield of sugarcane instantly. Based on the weakness, the measurement yield of sugarcane needs to be developed to make easier, more practical, and faster. The opportunity is by measuring yield of sugarcane based on the bioelectrical properties with dielectric properties method. The problem is unstandardized sample preparation techniques. This research is to obtain a standard length of sugarcane, the best frequency which has the the smallest effect of temperature variation, and the temperature effect on the measurement bioelectrical properties, also bioelectrical properties correlation to yield value. Preliminary research uses a completely randomized design (CRD) 2 factors: factor I (length of sugarcane) consists of 7 levels (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5 cm) and factor II (frequency) consists of 5 levels (100, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 Hz) which are obtained 35 combination treatments with 1 repetition. The main research uses randomized block design (RBD) 2 factors: the first factor (frequency) consists of 7 levels (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 750, 1000 Hz) and factor II (temperature) consists of 4 levels (20, 25, 30, 35 0C) which are obtained 28 combination treatments with 3 repetitions. The research result showed a standard length of sugarcane is 3 cm. The best frequency is 1000 Hz and there are not differences effect of temperature variation on the measurement of bioelectrical properties. The bioelectrical properties which correlated significantly to the yield value is the capacitance. The capacitance will be used as a parameter in sugarcane yield rapid measurement
