Abstract

Tingginya konsumsi susu masyarakat masa kini memicu tingginya permintaan terhadap susu sapi pasteurisasi. Di Jawa Timur, konsumsi susu sapi mencapai 1.600 ton per hari atau sekitar 576.000 ton per tahun. Untuk memenuhi permintaan susu pasteurisasi, KUD Karangploso berencana untuk mendirikan unit pengolahan susu pasteurisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan teknis dan finansial pendirian unit pengolahan susu pasteurisasi di KUD Karangploso, Malang. Analisis kelayakan pada aspek teknis yang akan diteliti adalah kapasitas produksi, jenis teknologi mesin dan peralatan yang digunakan, bahan baku dan bahan pembantu, utilitas serta tenaga kerja. Analisis kelayakan pada aspek finansial adalah NPV (Net Present Value), Tingkat Pengembalian Investasi (Internal Rate of Return), Rasio Manfaat – Biaya Bersih (Net Benefit-Cost Ratio) dan Pengembalian Investasi (Payback Period). Hasil analisis kelayakan yang dilakukan dari aspek teknis menunjukkan bahwa pendirian unit pengolahan susu pasteurisasi layak untuk dilakukan. Lokasi yang dipilih untuk mendirikan unit pengolahan susu pasteurisasi berada di Jalan Raya Ngijo No. 23 Desa Ngijo Kecamatan Karangploso Kabupaten Malang. Kapasitas produksi ditentukan 640 liter per hari. Teknologi, mesin dan peralatan produksi yang dipilih adalah teknologi, mesin dan peralatan yang telah di aplikasikan pada perusahaan sejenis yang telah ada. Kebutuhan bahan baku dan bahan pembantu dapat terpenuhi. Kebutuhan utilitas dipenuhi dari jaringan yang tersedia di Kecamatan Karangploso. Kebutuhan Tenaga kerja dapat dipenuhi. Hasil analisis kelayakan aspek finansial menunjukkan pendirian unit pengolahan susu pasteurisasi layak untuk dilakukan.Nilai kelayakan dari masing masing kriteria aspek finansial adalah sebagai berikut. NPV = Rp. 212.070.888, Net B/C = 1,21, IRR = 15,60% dan Nilai PP = 4,76 tahun. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan untuk mendirikan unit pasteurisasi yang baru.

English Abstract

The high consumption of milk has impact in a high demand for pasteurized milk. In East Java, milk consumption reached 1,600 tons in a day or approximately 576,000 tons in a year. In order to fulfil the increasing demand of pasteurized milk, KUD Karangploso planed to establish pasteurized milk processing units. The purpose of this study was to determine the technical and financial feasibility of pasteurized milk processing units establishing in KUD Karangploso, Malang. Feasibility of establishment pasteurized milk processing unit was performed using a feasibility analysis on the technical aspects and financial aspects. The technical aspects to be considered were the production capacity, the type of machinery and equipment technology, raw materials and auxiliary materials, utilities and labor. The method used for financial analysis is the NPV (Net Present Value), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), Net B/C (Net Benefit-Cost Ratio) and PP (Payback Period). Results of technical aspects feasibility analysis showed that the establishment of pasteurized milk processing unit was feasible. The chosen location to establish pasteurized milk processing units was located on Ngijo Highway No. 23 Ngijo Village Karangploso Subdistrict Malang District. Determined production capacity of 640 liters per day. Selected technology, machinery and production equipment is technology, machinery and equipment that has been applied in exist similar companies. Raw materials and auxiliary materials were filled. Utility requirement are met by utilities network that available in the Karangploso District. Labor was recruited from Karangploso District and surrounding. Feasibility values of each criterion financial aspects were NPV of Rp. 212.070.888, NetB/C of 1.21, IRR of 15,60% and PP of 4,76 years. The results of this study hopefully can be used as consideration for establishing a new pasteurization unit.
