Abstract

Bahan pakan dalam usaha peternakan memiliki peranan pokok yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian. Kebutuhan bahan pakan ternak pada tahun mendatang diperkirakan akan mengalami peningkatan. Saat ini bahan pakan ternak yang tersedia 50-60% bahan baku penyusunnya adalah jagung. Ketersediaan bahan baku yang kontinyu seringkali menjadi kendala dalam pemenuhan bahan pakan ternak. Selain itu, kedepan harga jagung akan semakin mahal, hal ini dikarenakan biofuel semakin digalakkan oleh negara-negara penghasil jagung. Dibutuhkan alternatif bahan pakan yang murah dan bernutrisi tinggi, salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan kulit ari kedelai. Proses penggandaan skala (scale up) perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi bahan pakan berbasis kulit ari kedelai. Scale up adalah proses yang mendapatkan hasil produksi yang identik (jika memungkinkan) pada skala yang lebih besar berdasarkan pada skala produksi yang telah ditentukan sebelumnya. Penggandaan skala pada penelitian ini didasarkan pada perlakuan terbaik penelitian skala laboratorium pembuatan bahan pakan berbasis kulit ari kedelai. Penelitian terdahulu pembuatan bahan pakan berbasis kulit ari kedelai skala laboratorium didapatkan kadar protein sebesar 28,42%, lemak kasar 7,21% dan kadar abu 4,84%. Hasil tersebut memberikan hasil terbaik pada uji biologis yang diuji pada tikus dengan total penambahan berat badan sebesar 188 gram, nilai PER (Protein Efficiency Ratio) sebesar 0,91 dan daya cerna sebesar 88,75%. Pada penggandaan skala didapatkan kadar protein sebesar 8,89%, lemak kasar 0,96% dan kadar abu 3,29%. Hasil uji pada tikus didapatkan nilai PER sebesar 0,36, daya cerna sebesar 94,17% dan kenaikan berat badan sebesar 178,88 gram. Hasil uji biologis diuji menggunakan uji t (unpaired) dan didapatkan hasil tidak beda nyata pada PER dan kenaikan berat badan, sedangkan daya cerna terdapat perbedaan nyata. Biaya bahan baku sebesar Rp. 10.000, biaya bahan pembantu sebesar Rp. 40.480. Total biaya bahan baku dan bahan pembantu pembuatan bahan pakan skala ganda sebesar Rp. 50.480. Biaya utilitas air setiap batch sebesar Rp.908, listrik Rp. 17.247, dan LPG Rp. 48.125. Total biaya utilitas sebesar Rp.66.280. Total biaya yang dikeluarkan setiap batch produksi adalah sebesar Rp. 116.760.-

English Abstract

Feed material in poultry business had a basic role that should receive great attention. Its needs in the coming years was expected to rise. Among the currently feed material available, 50-60% of the constituent of raw material was corn. Continuous availability of raw material was often be an obstacle in the fulfillment of feed material. In addition, because of biofuel production was increasingly encouraged by corn-producing countries, the future price of corn would be more expensive. Therefore, alternative inexpensive and nutritious feed material were required, one of which was the utilization of soybean epidermis. To increase production capacity of feed material from soybean epidermis, scaling up was requisite. Scaling up was the process to get identical production (if possible) on a larger scale based on predetermined production scale. In this research, scale up was based on the best treatment of feed material production from soybean epidermis at laboratory scale. Previous research of feed material production from soybean epidermis at laboratory scale obtained protein content of 28,42%, crude fat of 7,21% and ash content of 4,84%. These provided the best result at biological assay tested in mice with total weight gain of 188 grams, value of PER (Protein Efficiency Ratio) of 0,91 and digestibility of 88,75%. Meanwhile, production scale up acquired protein content of 8,89%, crude fat of 0,96% and ash content of 3,29%. Test results in mice obtained PER value of 0,36, digestibility of 94,17% and total weight gain of 178,88 grams. Biological test results were tested using t test (unpaired) and showed no significant difference in PER and weight gain, while there was a significant difference in digestibility. Raw material and auxiliary material cost were Rp10.000,00 and Rp40.480,00 causing the total of raw and auxiliary material cost of production scale up of this feed material process was Rp50.480,00. Total cost of utility was Rp101.569,00 consisted of the cost of water, electricity, and liquefied petroleum gas per batch amounted Rp 908,00, Rp 17.247 and Rp 48.125respectively. Therefore the total production cost for every batch was Rp116.760,00.
