Abstract

PT Eka Timur Raya merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak dalam pengalengan jamur champignon dengan tujuan ekspor. Titik kritis dalam proses produksi di PT Eka Timur Raya adalah keberhasilan pada proses seaming (penutupan). Permasalahan yang sering terjadi adalah kegagalan proses seaming pada produk dengan kemasan 4 Oz yang dilakukan di line can 1 dan line can 2. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pengukuran effektivitas mesin di line can 1 dan line can 2 dan meningkatkannya, karena umur peralatan yang digunakan semakin lama akan semakin bertambah sedangkan kinerja mesin tersebut semakin menurun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui nilai efektivitas mesin pada line can 1 dan line can 2 yang di PT Eka Timur Raya dengan menggunakan alat ukur Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) dan mengetahui hal-hal yang menjadi penyebab dasar kegagalan mesin yang memiliki nilai effektivitas terendah dengan menggunakan Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pencapaian nilai OEE di PT Eka Timur Raya menunjukkan bahwa nilai efektivitas mesin pada line can 1 dengan menggunakan OEE berada di atas standar world class (85%) selama periode pengukuran (November - Oktober) kecuali bulan April (auto filler sebesar 82,90%, exhauster 83,20%, seamer 81,65%). Nilai effektivitas mesin di line can 2 berada di bawah standar world class pada bulan April (auto filler sebesar 84,02%, exhauster 84,43%, seamer 82,88%), Mei (auto filler sebesar 82,65 exhauster 82,85%, seamer 81,12%),Oktober (auto filler sebesar 84,35%, exhauster 84,56%, seamer 83,60%). Pada kedua line pencapaian nilai OEE mesin seamer adalah yang terendah selama periode pengukuran. FTA dalam penelitian ini menunjukan kejadian puncak adalah gangguan seamer. Terdapat 18 kejadian dasar yang menjadi penyebab rendahnya effektivitas mesin seamer yaitu kesalahan setting 1st operation seaming roll, kerusakan 1st operation seaming roll, kesalahan setting 2nd operation seaming roll, kerusakan 2nd operation seaming roll, kesalahan setting seaming chuck, kerusakan seaming chuck, kesalahan setting seaming lifter, kerusakan seaming lifter, gangguan transfer lid, gangguan kaleng macet, steam drop,gangguan konveyor, kerusakan rantai, kerusakan transport chain, kesalahan setting agitator, kerusakan agitator, kesalahan setting lifting, kerusakan lifting.

English Abstract

PT Eka Timur Raya is a company engaged in the champignon mushrooms canning with for ekspor market. The critical point in the production process at PT Eka Timur Raya is success in the seaming process (closing). The problem that often occurs is seaming of 4 Oz products which were on line can 1 and line can 2. Therefore, measurement of effectiveness is required on line can 1 and line can 2 machine’s and should be improved, because the performance of the machine will decrease as it longer being used. The purpose of this research are to know the value of the effectiveness of the machine on line can 1 and line can 2 in PT Eka Timur Raya by using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and to know the basic cause of the engine failure which had the lowest effectiveness values by using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Based on the results of research, the achievement of OEE value in the PT Eka Timur Raya shown that the value of the effectiveness the machine on line can 1 by using OEE is above the world class standard (85 %) during the measurement period (November-October) except April (82.90% for auto filler, 83.20 % exhauster, seamer 81.65 %). Effectiveness value machine in line can 2 under the world class standards in April (84.02 % for auto filler , exhauster 84.43 %, seamer 82.88 %), April (82.65% for auto filler, exhauster 82.85 %, seamer 81.12 %), October (84.35% for auto filler, 84.56 % exhauster, seamer 83.60 %). For both lines, achievement of OEE value of seamer mechine were the lowest during the measurement period. In this case FTA have shown that peak occurence was seamer machine. There are 18 basic events that cause the low effectiveness of the seamer machine, they are 1st operation seaming roll setting errors, 1st operation seaming roll damages, 2nd operation seaming roll setting errors, 2nd operation seaming roll damages, seaming chuck setting errors, seaming chuck damages, seaming lifter setting error, seaming lifter damages, lid transfer disorders, canned jams disorders, steam drop, conveyors damage, chain damages, transport chain damages, agitator setting errors, agitator damages, lifting setting errors, lifting damages.
