Abstract

Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) adalah teknologi charging tanpa kabel. Teknologi ini merupakan solusi dari tingginya tingkat mobilitas masyarakat. Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) berhubungan rectenna (rectifying antenna) yang merupakan gabungan dari kata "rectifying" dan "antenna" yaitu teknologi yang memanfaatkan energi elektromagnetik di udara yang dikonversikan ke energi listrik (tegangan DC). Pada penelitian ini dirancang empat buah rectenna dengan spesifikasi yang sama dan dirangkai menjadi rangkaian seri rectennna. Tiap rectifier yang dirancang menggunakan dioda 1N5711 sebanyak 4 buah dan 1 buah kapasitor SMD C1206. Antena yang dirancang pada penelitian ini adalah antena mikrostrip circular patch dan antena mikrostrip star patch with additional elliptical shape. Desain antena pada penelitian ini disimulasikan menggunakan software Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Studio Suite 2014. Antena di fabrikasi menggunakan bahan FR–4 dengan ɛr = 3,9 dan h = 1,6 mm. Hasil pengujian pada rectenna dengan menggunakan antena default pemancar 2,4 GHz sebagai antena pemancar lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pengujian rectenna dengan menggunakan antena mikrostrip star patch with additional elliptical shape sebagai pemancar. Hal ini dikarenakan antena default pemancar 2,4 GHz merupakan antena directional sedangkan antena mikrostrip star patch with additional elliptical shape merupakan antena omnidirectional. Antena directional memancarkan daya fokus ke satu arah sedangkan antena omnidirectional memancarkan daya lebih dari satu arah.

English Abstract

Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) is a wireless charging technology. This technology is a solution of the high level of public mobility. Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) associated rectenna (rectifying antenna) which is a combination of "rectifying" and "antenna" which is a technology that uses electromagnetic energy in the air is converted into electrical energy (DC voltage). In this study designed four rectenna with the same specifications and assembled into a series circuit rectennna. Each rectifier is designed to use 1N5711 diode as many as 4 pieces and 1 piece of SMD capacitor C1206. Antennas are designed in this study is a circular microstrip patch antenna and star microstrip patch antenna with additional elliptical shape. Antenna design in this study simulated using software Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Studio Suite 2014. Antennas in fabrication using FR-4 material with ɛr = 3.9 and h = 1.6 mm. The test results on the rectenna using the default antenna transmitter 2.4 GHz in the transmitting antenna is better than the test rectenna using star microstrip patch antenna with additional elliptical shape in a transmitter. This is because the default transmitter antenna is 2.4 GHz directional antenna while the star microstrip patch antenna with additional elliptical shape is an omnidirectional antenna. Directional antenna radiating focus in one direction while the omnidirectional antenna radiating more than one direction.
