Abstract
Metode terapi NEWSTART merupakan sebuah gaya hidup sehat yang terdiri dari delapan elemen yang berasal dari alam untuk optimalisasi kondisi kesehatan manusia. Elemen-elemen tersebut yaitu Nutrisi (Nutrition), Olahraga (Exercise), Air bersih (Water), Sinar Matahari (Sunshine), Bertarak (Temperance), Udara bersih (Air), Istirahat (Rest), dan Berdoa/Berserah kepada TYME (Trust in God). Kesemua elemen tersebut merupakan satu kesatuan yang harus diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari secara berkelanjutan dan konsisten agar diperoleh kondisi kesehatan yang optimal. Terdapat sebuah pusat kesehatan yang menggunakan metode terapi NEWSTART untuk rehabilitasi penyembuhan dan penyuluhan bagi pasien yaitu MMW Malang. Pusat kesehatan ini berdiri pada tahun 2001, namun fasilitas yang disediakan sangat terbatas dan tidak ideal oleh karena beberapa faktor diantaranya, pemilihan lokasi, bangunan yang tidak ideal, dan fasilitas-fasilitas terapi yang sangat minim. Pihak yayasan menyadari akan kekurangan ini sehingga merencanakan untuk membangun sebuah pusat kesehatan baru yang lebih strategis dan memiliki fasilitas yang lebih baik. Daerah Malang Raya memiliki potensi alam yang cukup menjanjikan terutama jika dikaitkan dengan metode terapi yang bersumber kepada alam. Kondisi udara, topografi, dan kebisingan di wilayah ini masih memenuhi kriteria yang baik bagi sebuah pusat kesehatan. Menyadari akan pentingnya keberadaan pusat kesehatan ini dan metode yang diterapkannya bagi kepentingan masyarakat, maka akan dirancang sebuah pusat kesehatan MMW yang baru di Kabupaten Malang. Desain fasilitas baru ini akan berpedoman terhadap metode terapi NEWSTART yang akan diterjemahkan ke dalam bentukan arsitektural, sehingga akan menghasilkan sebuah rancangan yang ideal bagi sebuah fasilitas kesehatan.
English Abstract
NEWSTART therapy method is a healthy lifestyle that consists of eight elements derived from nature for the optimization of human health conditions. These elements are Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunshine, Temperance, Air, Rest, and Trust in God. All of these elements is a unity that must be applied in everyday life in a sustainable and consistent in order to obtain optimal health conditions. There is a health center that uses therapeutic methods NEWSTART for rehabilitation healing and counseling for patients that MMW Malang. The health center was established in 2001, but the facilities provided are very limited and are not ideal due to several factors, including, site selection, building is not ideal, and the facilities of therapy are minimal. The foundation aware of this shortcoming so plan to build a new wellness center that is more strategic and have better facilities. Malang area has natural potential is promising, especially when associated with therapy method that comes to nature. Air condition, topography, and the noise in this region is still a good criteria for a health center. Recognizing the importance of this health center and method of implementation for the benefit of society, it will be designed a health center MMWs new in Malang. Design of the new facility will be guided by the therapeutic methods NEWSTART that will translate into the formation of architectural, so it will produce a design that is ideal for a health facility.
