Lestari, ApriatiWidya (2013) Arahan Penataan Jalur Pejalan Kaki Berdasarkan Persepsi Pejalan Kaki Di Koridor Jalan Kartini Kota Depok. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Based on Depok City Spatial Plan for year 2010-2030, Kartini street is a primary collector corridor connecting Jakarta and Bogor. Land uses along the street were allocated for business services and commercial trade areas which have caused high level of motorized movement. The pedestrian‘s right and its facilities tend to be ignored so the vitality of the corridor decreased. Pedestrians are actually the main element of urban public space, so the quality of pedestrian path needs to be improved. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of the path and pedestrian perception by using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Variables, that were used to formulate design principles were ‘Five C‘, which consisted of connection, convenience, convivial, comfortable, and conspicuousness (Llewelyn-Davies, 2007). The analysis found that the main priorities for the prescriptive design were: convivial aspect by 40% (related to pedestrian amenities such as litter bin, awnings, lighting, and shade trees); connection aspect by 24% (bus shelter and guardrail). Convenience aspect by 24% (in the availability of pedestrian crossing such as crosswalk and traffic light); and last aspect is comfortable aspect by 12% (such as width of pavement, surface conditions, and ramp conditions).
