Abstract

Pengujian dilakukan dengan membuat benda uji dengan variasi penambahan piropilit 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25% dari berat semen ke dalam campuran. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian porositas dan dilakukan pengujian kuat tekan yang dianalogikan menyerupai pengujian batako SNI 03-0348-7 dan dipasang dial gauge untuk menentukan deformasinya sehingga dapat menghitung modulus elastisitas. Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai porositas dan modulus elastisitas benda uji setelah proses pengujian antara lain: variasi tanpa campuran piropilit, penambahan 10%, 15%, 20% dan 25% akan memberikan nilai porositas rata-rata sebagai berikut 19.609%, 23.581%, 20.548%, 18.930% dan 17.299% dengan nilai optimum pada kadar 10,301%, dan memberikan nilai modulus elastisitas rata-rata sebesar 3.829 KN/cm2, 4.319 KN/cm2, 5.620 KN/cm2, 4.713 KN/cm2, dan 5.987 KN/cm2. Penambahan piropilit 5% tidak disertakan dalam analisis karena diperoleh hasil yang bias dan dari 5 benda uji pada masing-masing variasi dipilih 3 benda uji karena adanya penyimpangan data dari 2 benda uji. Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penambahan jumlah piropilit yang berupa filler lebih dari 10,301% dari berat semen akan menurunkan nilai porositas bata ringan dan penambahan piropilit cenderung meningkatkan modulus elastisitas bata ringan.

English Abstract

Lightweight brick is materials used as repalcement of convensional brick because it was reducing structure loads in construction building . To make better properties of lightweight brick, it will added by phyropilit in to mixture. Phyropilit contain high silica for almost 85% from total weight. Sample has been tested based on variation of sample is adding 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% phyropilit from the cement weight. The tests consist of porosity test and compressioin test with adding dial gauge to determine the deformation for obtaining the result of modulus elasticity. The tests results showed that porosity and modulus elasticity from the variation of non-adding phyropilit, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% given is 19.609%, 23.581%, 20.548%, 18.930% dan 17.299% with the optimum phyropilit value of 10,301% for porosity and 3.829 KN/cm2, 2.195 KN/cm2, 4.319 KN/cm2, 5.620 KN/cm2, 4.713 KN/cm2, dan 5.987 KN/cm2 for modulus elasticity. However 5% adding of phyropilit didn’t included in analysis because of it stray value and 2 of 5 samples from each variation have high deviation so that there only use 3 samples. From the analysis can be conclude that over 10,301% possesing of phyropilit as filler can reduce the porosity and the add of phyropilit can increase the modulus elaticity of lightweight brick.
